On the edge of the village, step into a different world, with African, Moroccan, and Tibetan flavours, an arboretum, acres of fan and date palms and your own holiday home (one of five) carefully placed for privacy if you want it. Sociable souls will adore the communal kitchen, dining area and terrace with wood-fired oven and barbecue, the freshwater swimming pool and the freedom to wander the grounds; the less gregarious can hunker down on their own private terrace. Each are spacious, with attractive modern art, traditional and contemporary furniture, super log stoves for chillier evenings. Kitchens are open plan and have all you need for holiday cooking; bathrooms are modern and sparklingly clean. Great for families with young children, wedding parties, family gatherings, but also romantic couples looking for a retreat. Excellent mountain walking is from the door, biking routes are plentiful and varied (Tour de France cyclists train round here), Denia old town with its castle and beach is a short drive away. Or just stay put and relax by the pool, wander into the village for supper in the local restaurant, join in the ‘parloteo’ at the bar.
