The
Experience

A Goldilocks group of beautiful Umbrian buildings, big, middling and small, to suit mixed holiday needs: take all or any of them for 8 to 40 guests, full board or DIY, weddings or activities and bask in the harmonies of classical symmetry. The supremely elegant pink and white Villa, grand but on a human scale, has charming frescoes and fine antiques in its many reception rooms, and a warren of corridors and bedrooms (glorious for children), all full of light and lots of the artist-owner’s quirky works and finds. The smaller yellow and white annexe is less grand but still lovely, comfortable. The stone-built Diamond Cottage, separate from the other two with its own pool, is more a simple country retreat with plain country furniture and mangers above the colourful cotton throws and original cobbled floor in its former-stable sitting room. Kitchens are in keeping: full-scale professional in the villa, homely country in the annexe, basic farmhouse in the Diamond Cottage. The grounds have space for all with a secret garden, olive groves and fabulous views over stunning Umbrian landscapes.

Local points of interest from Anna Muscardin

  • We can offer, on request, different service options for your unique, personalised meals (great home-made meals of many typical Italian dishes), house maids, cooks, steward, organisation office assistance for groups, leisures and event and wedding planner.
  • At the heart of Umbria's green heart of Italy, Villa Pianciani is located on top of a hill overlooking the valley of Spoleto. The Valley is surrounded by many rich magnificent small towns of the great Italian tradition; Assisi, Trevi, Montefalco, Spello.
  • The Villa location is far from industrial areas and large arteries of transit and has magically kept intact the ancient landscape. Not far from the Villa, you can discover the best Italian olive groves and excellent wine coltivation area of Montefalco.
  • Spoleto Festival of Two Worlds (June - July): dance, opera, plays, concerts, art exhibitions, film festivals, one of the most prestigious artistic events worldwide or SpoletoScience, important summer series of conferences and debates on science issues.
  • Giostra della Quintana - Foligno (June & September): historical event inspired by the medieval equestrian competition. The evening before the competition, an historical parade of 600 people in costume procession through the streets of the city.
  • Gaite Market Festival, Bevagna (June): a week of medieval life in the enchanting setting of Bevagna. Umbria Jazz in Perugia (July): established in 1973, it is one of the most important jazz festivals in Europe.
