The
Experience

No ordinary B&B with hosts – guests say this is like staying with friends. Wind up the hill from the Puglian plains to the quiet village of Selva whose fine houses were built by wealthy Italians escaping from summer heat into cooling breezes. Rosie and Giuseppe saw this lovely house, which gazes out over miles of countryside, fell in love with it and bought it – now they love to share it. With warm bubbly enthusiasm, Rosie, a passionate decorator, welcomes guests to pretty terraces and garden; creatively restyled old furniture and restful colours. Help yourself to tea and coffee; nod off in bedrooms with a terrace each, where the same harmony of modern and antique enfolds you. Be pampered with natural lotions in sleek modern bathrooms then enjoy a generous breakfast – fresh juices, local pastries – on the main terrace or privately outside your room. From the house, take the Via Panoramica for spectacular sea views on the way down to the tiny fishing village of Savelletri; there are the trulli of Alberobello and the historic centres of Ostuni, Cisternino, Locorotondo to visit; Rosie can arrange golf, tennis or yoga.

"Like staying with friends".....We absolutely agree!!! Rosie and Guiseppe are the best hosts you can find. We felt so warmly welcome, got so many lovely and perfect recommendations for restaurants, beaches and citytrips which were all nearby. The breakfast (and this breathless view on the terrace) is outstanding and the best we got in Puglia. The house and the large rooms are beautiful designed and decorated. We loved the warm atmosphere so much and and wanted to stay .... So: Highly recommended!!!

I don't think there are enough superlatives to describe this stunning house and the wonderful hosts, Rosie and Guiseppe! We had such an enjoyable stay with them and their hospitality knows no bounds!! The rooms are fabulous, truly 5 star, beautifully decorated, lovely bed linens and towels, dressing gowns, slippers etc. We could have sat on the terrace all day eating the heavenly breakfast and taking in the stunning views but Rosie and Guiseppe were so helpful with suggestions of places to visit and eat that we were equally keen to get out there and explore this area of Puglia. We will return

We spent a wonderful five days at Rosie and Giuseppe's beautiful home in Puglia. They were such welcoming and thoughtful hosts with a genuine desire to provide an unforgettable holiday. The personal touch was added with a warmth and generosity that will bring us back for sure!

To paraphrase Wordsworth, Puglia hath not anything to show more fair, than this delightful b&b villa in Selva di Fasano. The home is beautiful, and Rosie and Giuseppe offer standards, together with the superb breakfasts, that many a 5 star establishment would admire. If a holiday in Puglia is being considered then book Alfresco, you will not be disappointed.

Rosie and Giuseppe are superb hosts, high quality accommodation, with panoramic views over the countryside from the breakfast table. Set in a rural and tranquil setting. In summary, a very sophisticated offering.

we spent a week of our honeymoon with Rosie & Giuseppie at their wonderful property in Fasano, from our very first meeting we felt completely at home. Nothing was to much trouble for our hosts and we instantly felt relaxed and stress free. The accommodation was stunning, beautifully decorated with all the extra trimmings of coffee & tea facilities, fresh milk and lovely local made cakes daily xxx we felt very spoilt and mustn't forget the Rosato & prosecco sessions. Our daily breakfast was set on the terrace with the most jaw dropping vista and the food was to match, simply wonderful.

We stayed two nights with Rosie and Giuseppe. The house is situated on the hill above Fasano. Our bedroom and lovely lounge were very comfortable. Both had opening French doors into the garden with a private area to sit and enjoy a coffee or glass of wine, plus a couple of sun beds to stretch out on. All tastefully furnished in a fairly minimal style. The bed was luxurious, lovely Egyptian cotton sheets. Bathrobes, slippers and soft white towels made it without doubt a place with a 5 star feeling. Rosie and Giuseppe were perfect hosts, and keen for us enjoy our stay. We departed reluctantly

Alfresco is a wonderfull five star experience in a beautifull part of Puglia. Rosie and Giuseppe are exceptional hosts, from the moment we arrived we were treated like family and throughout our stay they did everything too ensure we had a fabulous time. The rooms are immaculate, comfortable, beautifully furnished and decorated. A delicious breakfast off local produce is served on a stunning terrace with views as far as Alberobello and Martina Franca. Giuseppe arranged a visit to a winery for everyone and we all had a great night out at a local Massaria. We most definitely will return

What a fabulous week we had at Alfresco, hosted by Rosie and Giuseppe. Rosie's exquisite decorating taste with attention to small details such as fresh flowers and beautiful bathroom products ensured we wanted for nothing; the room beautifully maintained our entire stay. They provided us with expert local knowledge and recommendations and took us all to a local masseria for food and wine as well as organising a brilliant trip to a local family run winery. The views from the terrace with breakfast kept us lingering every day, the delights offered always fresh and local - delicious.

This is a truly amazing place, among the very best of its kind my family and I have ever stayed in. We were offered two beautifully decorated and very comfortable rooms, with our own lounge, which had tea and coffee-making facilities. The setting could not have been better. You are close to the sea and historic towns, such as Lecce and Matera. Rosie and Giuseppe are great hosts. They make you feel relaxed, they attend to all your needs and are very interesting to talk to. Every morning you wake up to a delicious and generous breakfast on a terrace with a spectacular view.

If you want a warm southern Italian welcome then look no further than Rosie and Giuseppe's gorgeous villa in the wonderful Puglian countryside. Even before we arrived Rosie had kindly made restaurant reservations for us and, while there she and Giuseppe shared their knowledge of the area of places to visit & other excellent restaurant recommendations. You definitely need a car to enjoy the area, just take note of Rosie's directions :) Thank you for the locally sourced breakfasts, the cappuccinos, the views, terrace, the garden, & for looking after us & making our holiday so special.

We had an amazing week in a stunning part of Italy. Not only were Rosie and Guiseppe warm and generous hosts but their help and advice during our stay was very much appreciated and on a couple of occasions we, along with other guests were invited to join them for dinner in their stunning home. The attention to detail on every aspect was second to none. A truly memorable week - far exceeding our expectations. Thank you Rosie and Guiseppe - we will be back!!

Alfresco is an absolute delight! Rosie and Giuseppe are exceptional hosts and have created a relaxed yet elegant ambience in their exquisitely decorated home. They are charming, warm and welcoming and did all they could to ensure we had a memorable stay. The rooms are beautifully appointed with thoughtful attention to detail. Breakfast is superb and includes local cheeses, yogurt and freshly baked pastries, elegantly served with stunning terrace views. Alfresco is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway and is ideally situated to explore the heart of Puglia. We shall definitely return!

Have just spent a glorious week in Alfresco - the hosts Rosie and Guiseppe could not do enough for us and made our visit very special. The villa is beautiful, the en suite rooms, the breakfasts and the stunning views from the terrace make this place a real paradise and very convenient for visiting this part of Italy.

Barry, Bray, maidenhead

We stayed at Alfresco for 7 nights with friends and occupied the 2 double rooms with inter-connecting sitting room. Ideal for a group of 4 with daily supplies of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits! A great location for visiting almost everywhere in Puglia with amazing views. The house is tastefully decorated and furnished and breakfast on the terrace a delight and equally so indoors on cooler days! Rosie and Guiseppe are wonderful hosts and will be happy to make restaurant reservations or advise on what to do and where to go. Lecce and Matera were the highlights of our visit. Grahame and John

We were made to feel very welcome by Rosie and Guiseppe during our week's stay. The accommodation was stylish and very comfortable. It was good to relax in the pretty garden and the surroundings were delightful. Breakfasts were all delicious and provided an excellent start to each day spent exploring the surrounding historic towns. Highly recommended!

Whilst over in Europe for a working holiday I was extremely fortunate to join my daughter and son-in-law for an Easter holiday at Alfreso in Selva di Fasano. From the moment we first made contact to arrange the booking I felt we were being truly welcomed with exceptional care and consideration. Thank you to Rosie and Giuseppe for their kind hospitality in such comfortable surroundings, for their super breakfasts, for their thoughtful recommendations and arrangements for sightseeing and dining and for their great company and chats from which we leant much. A true 5 star holiday.

My mum, husband and I stayed with Rosie and Giuseppe for 4 nights and had a marvellous time. The location allowed us to tour the area with its picturesque and historic towns, myriad restaurants serving local fresh seafood and fine beaches (though it being April it was a bit cold for a dip!). The accommodation was spacious, immaculate and tastefully decorated. But most of all, Rosie and Giuseppe are exceptional hosts. I would say the best I've encountered. They really made our holiday with their delicious breakfasts, excellent tips and marvellous company. We truly couldn't have asked for more.

Annie

A home away from home. We could not have asked for more. Beautiful setting and gorgeously decorated rooms. Rosie and Giuseppe were not only great hosts but also excellent company. We even enjoyed an evening together on the terrace drinking local wine and eating local produce. Would highly recommend and expect we will be returning ourselves for Puglia unplugged....

Antonia, London / sydney

We had a wonderfully relaxing week here in this beautiful house. The hosts, Giuseppe and Rosie, looked after us superbly with delicious breakfasts served either inside, or on the terrace. Giuseppe goes out early each morning to ensure there are fresh croissants and breads on the table and is always very attentive to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Rosie is efficient and very friendly and is always ready to answer questions about the area to help one plan the day. There is lots to see and do in the area - lovely villages, a fabulous coastline. We will certainly return.
