A passion for fine wine infuses this Piedmontese vineyard, whose nine hectares are tended by the fourth generation of the Nadas. You can taste the estate’s best bottles – Barbaresco, Moscato – at any time. And you can sample other local treats, like farinata crêpes and Langhe valley cheeses, in the rustic breakfast room or under the garden arbour, gazing over endless vines to the Alps. Behind the colourful plants and wooden doors of the 1700s cascina are country-pretty bedrooms with big windows that swap light for views. Warm and inviting, they have sponge-painted walls in soft, winey colours, antique beds and wardrobes, oil paintings, the master bedroom has sofas by the fire and a balcony for stargazing. Easy-going Annalisa and Elvio welcome guests warmly and serve dinner on advance booking; generous with their time and space, they offer winery tours and use of a small pool up by the family home.
