The Experience

Close to the medieval village of Montelparo is a haven of birdsong and tranquillity overlooking a pure green valley with vineyards, orchards and olive groves. This is a smart villa built in traditional style, constructed from 100% local materials and enviably eco: solar panels for hot water, photovoltaic for electricity, a heat-exchanger for underfloor heating but also to keep rooms blissfully cool in summer and ionized water for the fully-fenced pool.

The charming owners live upstairs in a separate apartment but the pool, large gardens and outdoor eating space are all yours. This spacious apartment offers comfortable, sustainable living with a mix of traditional and contemporary.

Take a stroll through the vineyards and taste the award-winning wines at the Vitali cantina next door. Zip off to the sea, quaint Pedaso is closest, the Sibillini Mountains National Park is a must, or visit Ascoli Piceno, an hour’s drive: it’s one of Italy’s loveliest cities.

Reviews

This was our second stay with Roberto and Nikki and we could not recommend the villa in the vineyard enough. The villa itself would be reason to return but it is the hospitality which leads us to rebook without hesitation. Roberto and Nikki offer a perfect balance of being on hand to help whilst also being discrete. Nothing is too much trouble, from restaurant bookings and local knowledge to additional bits and bobs for the kids. We genuinely love this place and are already looking at dates for next year!

Abigail, Billericay

A lovely, spacious and well equipped villa set in beautiful countryside. A very peaceful and relaxing setting with a good sized pool to cool off in. We loved exploring the local area with picturesque hilltop towns and beautiful scenery. Nikki and Roberto are wonderful hosts with great tips to explore the local area. Our second visit and we're sure to be back again soon!

Mark, Reading

We had a fantastic time at Villa in the Vineyard. The property is immaculate, well equipped and situated in a stunning location with a great pool. Roberto and Nikki are full of great recommendations and there is a huge amount to see, do (and eat!) in the area.

John, Cheltenham

Beautiful location. Excellent facilities at this eco-friendly villa. The hosts were extremely helpful in recommending and arranging restaurants. A must visit is the Vineyard next door for a wine tasting. All in all a thoroughly relaxing time.

Stephen, Manchester

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa in the Vineyard. What a stunning location. The panoramic views are breathtaking. Nikki and Roberto are fabulous hosts who were on hand to provide some great tips for things to do/see/eat. We really enjoyed the delicious fruit and veg from the kitchen garden. The pool was great and always clean. The wine tasting at Casale Vitali was a great experience (and within walking distance 😉). Lots of beautiful hilltop villages around with some excellent restaurants. We can highly recommend a stay at Villa in the Vineyard.

Villa in the Vineyard provides exceptional accommodation – spotlessly clean, comfortable, well-equipped. This area of Italy is a fascinating landscape of vineyards and hilltop villages rich in history. Roberto and Nikki made perfect hosts – endlessly helpful and informative, offering us privacy and sociability when we needed them. We felt as if we'd been welcomed into their home where it was a pleasure to share in their obvious love of the locale. Their app seemed like Italian chic until we tried it – it was a brilliant source of practical help, guidance and information. Just as they were!

We couldn’t have struck luckier with Villa in the Vineyard - right from Nikki and Roberto’s warm welcome on our arrival. The house and facilities were impeccable, and we loved the seemingly endless stream of fresh fruit and veg from the garden. The comprehensive info provided by the new digital app was invaluable - this should be a benchmark for all rental properties; coupled with Roberto’s enthusiastic suggestions it gave immense insights into the local area and its quirks to enhance our stay. All in all a perfect base from which to explore this attractive and fascinating region.

When Jill and I booked Villa-in-the-Vinyards we expected that every other day we would travel to the coast to have a good beach time. Well, we never did - why leave a perfect place! It had anything one could want, a charming and well stocked apartment, a pool just for ourselves, spacious garden, great views and very pleasant hosts. The surrounding hills all are topped by castle-walled towns and villages that have at least one great restaurant each. The starry nights were better than any TV - one could have watched videos etc., but a last glass of wine on the terrace was always preferable.

Villa in the Vineyard is a fantastic place to stay. Our 3 children (and us!) were delighted with the beautiful pool surrounded by the most amazing views. The villa is fabulous - very spacious with everything you could possibly need. Nikki & Roberto were fabulous hosts and went the extra mile to ensure that we had all the info we needed to have some fabulous meals and days out. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Alison, Hertfordshire

Villa in the Vineyard is the perfect place to get away from it all, and at the same time experience some of the wonderful things that Le Marche has to offer. The villa is very comfortable and well equipped, and we were made to feel really welcome. The setting of the villa is fantastic, with amazing views, a wonderful pool, and lots of small villages to explore nearby. We loved having access to the vegetable garden, and drinking wine from a variety of local vineyards. We look forward to returning for more hiking and wine tasting.

Tanya, Trieste

Nikki and Roberto have created a very special place. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and they accommodated our toddler beautifully. Everything had been thought of! We particularly appreciated the considerate welcome pack and the constant supply of fresh organic fruit and vegetables. We visited in September which was the perfect temperature for us but we could equally imagine the apartment being very cosy in the winter and absolutely glorious during the high summer. I have already recommended Villa in the Vineyard to our family and friends.

Natalie, Essex

Villa in the Vineyard stands out as a special experience in our recent vacation. The location and views are spectacular, the apartment spacious, well-appointed, and quiet. I particularly liked staying in a traditional Italian country house that had so many eco features and modern touches. Best of all though are the gracious hosts Nikki and Roberto. We loved the welcome basket filled with delicious food that awaited us. They generously shared extra coffee and their own produce and fruit, gave us a ride to the wine tasting, and provided lots of useful sightseeing advice. Hope we can return!

Dolores, Palo Alto

Really wonderful 2 weeks at Bob & Nikki's. Great location, garden, pool and house. Would easily recommend...

Alexander, London

Our family of 6 had a wonderful relaxing week at Villa in the Vineyard. The Villa is spacious, well maintained and was cool during a very hot August week. The pool was lovely and well appreciated by our two young sons. The location is stunning with a magnificent view and the Marche region is beautiful with a nice mix of historic towns, picturesque rolling country side and sandy beaches. Roberto and Nikki were brilliant hosts providing a warm welcome and were always ready to provide advice when needed. We highly recommend.

Mark, Reading

Thanks Roberto and Nikky. We are frequent Italy visitors and your place is in our top 3 list . The house , the pool , the equipment is top. We trusted on your recommendations for small town visits, mountains , coast , sagri , restaurants and it was always great . Our butcher young adults enjoyed trying out your high quality stone oven for steak Fiorentina and self made pizzas. We all enjoyed it so much . Thanks again.

Conny, Bruges, Belgium

Second time to stay here and it was just as lovely. Stunning views, a gorgeous garden and a whole heap of toys kindly lent to the children, meant that we had an incredibly relaxing time. The new bathroom is great and the landscaping that Roberto's done over the year has made the place even more gorgeous. Roberto and Nicky, as ever, were very kind and welcoming - really nothing is too much trouble. It's a fabulous place in a great part of the world.

Katie, Oxford

Our family had a very relaxing holiday here in this lovely house. It’s a great location to explorer both the coast and the mountains of this beautiful little known region. Roberto and Nikki have a great very commendable eco friendly ethos. They are very kind and helpful hosts recommending great places to see and some very good restaurants. They also arranged a wine tasting for us at a local winery were we had some very enjoyable food and wine.

Mandy, Dublin

This is a special place where we enjoyed a wonderful family holiday. The accommodation is very comfortable, stylish and clean. The owners have created a welcoming beautiful home and the garden view and swimming pool are a peaceful haven to enjoy quality family time together. The owners are very helpful and it we really appreciated having them on site to ask their advice about the local area and help with bookings for restaurants. The surrounding area is wonderful, plenty of fantastic restaurants and being able to be at the sea in just over 30minutes was a real bonus. This is a special place.

Emma, Maidenhead

This comfortable villa has been beautifully and sympathetically modernised, with great eco credentials. It is perfectly located for a most relaxing holiday with a lovely outdoor area and the cleanest pool you could wish for! Roberto and Nikki are faultlessly helpful with an endless supply of local knowledge - and organic vegetables! Roberto was a great hiking companion and a trip up into the mountains is a must. The local wine tasting, just up the hill, is also a highlight and is very well organised.

Jo & Pete, York

Great place for chilling out, and exploring Le Marche region. The villa is very rustic, and has a fantastic all-round view. The gardens are beautifully maintained. Although the accommodation is an apartment, it feels more like being in a house, just with downstairs bedrooms. We arrived at the villa late in the evening and were most pleased to find a welcome pack with food for breakfast the next day. The local restaurants serve delicious local food. The perfect place for a restful or active mini-break, or longer holiday ! The hosts, Roberto & Nikki were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
