The Experience

Sweep through the gates, down into lemon groves, and breathe in the scent of jasmine and honeysuckle. A 15-minute climb from town, this sleek white villa – decked with terraces like a cruise ship – will enfold you in coolness and calm, as well as sincere warmth from Maria.

The main terrace has a spectacular bay-of-Naples panorama; the public rooms – uncluttered spaces of white walls and terracotta floors – lie above the bedrooms to make the most of the views. The garden is a delight: olive groves, grape vines, fruit trees, potted lilac hydrangeas.

Start the day with home-baked tarts and cakes, quiche, tomatoes with fresh mozzarella, prosciutto and melon, fruit from the orchard. Restaurants are an easy walk down, a steep climb up (ask about the free shuttle) – treat yourself to a swirl in the rooftop jacuzzi on your return. The sunsets are lovely.

Reviews

Maria and her team were incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. We arrived quite late from our flight to be greeted with home-made cakes and lemonade and a bottle of sparkling wine. The breakfasts were delicious and we could have happily spent the whole morning sat on the terrace taking in the fantastic view and making our way through Maria’s baking! Our room was absolutely lovely, and the scent of orange blossom was divine. It really felt like coming back to a little oasis at the end of the day!

Ruth, Bristol

From the moment we arrived Maria’s hospitality, help and kindness (along with her staff) was exceptional. You enter the property through a beautifully scented lemon grove with flowering rosemary. Maria’s sleek villa is like an ocean liner with a spectacular panorama. The interior is comfortable, handsomely designed and with the crackle and aroma of olive wood burning on an open fire. Our room was impeccably clean and spacious. Maria and her sister create the most delectable breakfasts! Their baking is sensational. Villa Oriana Relais has the most wonderful ambiance and spirituality.

Adam, Buxton

Gracious hostess and owner Maria along with her professional but warm staff, literally embrace their guests Neapolitan style, assisting them personally from the gate through the heavenly-scented lemon grove directly to the panoramic terrace to catch their breaths. Depending on the time of day, an orange or lemon juice is offered while views of the Vesuvio volcano across the golf of Naples distract and inspire. Impeccably clean and very spacious rooms with terraces are just many of the plusses before even beginning to describe the fabulous breakfast spread!
