Fanny and her big dog Dune are welcoming and this old farmhouse very peaceful. It’s a good stopover to or from Calais just an hour from the Eurotunnel. If you stay longer there are WW1 battlefields and plenty of museums to explore within an hour’s drive.Wander the big garden with lawns and mature trees under which you can link up with others for summer pétanque or play billiards and table tennis inside. Unwind in two guest sitting rooms; bedrooms are in the long low attic or the snug suite with its own patio. If it’s a full house there can easily be a dozen around the huge table for breakfast – croissants, yogurt, boiled eggs and home-made jams. It’s worth staying in for Fanny’s table d’hôtes or walk into the village for simple meals. Restaurants are a ten-minute drive.

Our hostess was very welcoming and offered drinks upon arrival. We enjoyed an aperitif prior to the evening meal and wine during dinner, which was good, as was breakfast also. Top marks for the garden.

Fanny Bulot is the owner and is exceptionally hospitable. All guests are given a most friendly and welcoming greeting on arrival and then invited to aperitifs before dinner. Fanny cooks superb evening meals. They are simple but absolutely delicious and totally appropriate for those at the end of a tiring day's driving. The garden is delightful and restful and it is a real pleasure to stay at Les Cohettes.

We have been using Sawday for about 20 years and can truly say that this is one of the very best... Fanny is an excellent hostess, the accommodation is excellent and the food almost Michelin star quality. At least 11 out of 10.

Over the last 25 plus years we’ve always looked forward to staying at Les Cohettes, even if it’s at the end of our holiday. Fanny continues Gina’s traditions of a wonderful welcome; spotless, comfortable accommodation and delicious home cooking. A number of nationalities may be represented around the dinner table and perhaps nobody speaks the others’ languages perfectly, but it doesn’t matter – nobody feels embarrassed and Fanny is always on hand to interpret if needed. Dune (the boxer) is a most gentle observer of all comings and goings. We will keep returning.

We have stayed here every year for about 18 years. Fanny will welcome you to this wonderful Chambre d'Hote. A welcome drink in the secluded pretty garden. A comfortable bedroom. Wonderful supper round the large table with other guests, most of which have been there many times. The wine flows. Great breakfast . Fanny is the best hostess we know. Look forward to our next stay. Many thanks Fanny. Bill and Ann Sisson

This must be the 5th or 6th time we have stayed at Les Cohettes in the last two years. Fanny, Gina's Daughter-in-Law, has taken over, but the welcome remains the same - warm and friendly. Like Gina, Fanny memorises everyone's names immediately - quite a feat when there are 17 guests at dinner! The food is good, home cooked and depending on the season, ingredients are from the garden. Worth mentioning is the many home made Jams on offer - lovely with a Croissant at breakfast in the morning.

We have stayed here many times, but this time Gina's daughter in law Fanny was in charge. The same warm welcome, clean room, and an excellent evening meal. Fanny and her husband have begun to put their touch on this wonderful Chambres d'Hotes. Long may it continue. Many thanks.

Great place, this was our second visit. Gina is the perfect host and is more like a friend. She makes sure that all of her guests are comfortable and relaxed and the meal is fantastic, eaten with all guests around a long table. Altogether a fantastic time and we will return. Thankyou again Gina !

What can we say about Gina, that has not been said before. Bright clean rooms, lots of hot water, a wonderful supper. Great breakfast with the traditional boiled eggs. Long may it continue. Our 16th Visit!!!

Very friendly. Eating en famile is terrific -- Gina is a lovely hostess who makes everyone feel at home, especially les Anglaises! The food was excellent as well. The room was clean and comfortable. We hope to go back next year.

We arrived much earlier than expected but Madame was most welcoming, enabling our two boys to run off steam in the lovely garden. We were given the choice of two family rooms, one being the summer house in the garden which we chose as it was ideal for us and the two children. We dined that evening with the other guests and found Madame to be both charming and an excellent cook. Breakfast the following morning was also excellent and set us up quite nicely for our journey home. We can quite sincerely recommend this place to others and will definitely return.

My wife and I stayed here for one night with our daughter and husband and two young children on our way back to Calais. We received a very warm welcome from Gina, we were then offered a welcome drink which we took on her lovely terrace overlooking the large garden. There was a slide and swings for the children . A lovely children's supper was served at 5.30. We were then served a most superb dinner in the dining room which was enjoyed with other guests.Breakfast was a real treat with boiled eggs and freshly baked croissants. Highly recommended.

Fanny Bulot

Fanny was a pharmacist for many years and took over the B&B from her mother-in-law in 2013. Her mother-in-law still pops in to help with changeovers or with the table d'hôte. Fanny is just lovely - very cheerful and keen that you have a happy time.
