Meals with family and friends taste best in the mountain air. From the suntrap terrace of this small hotel you can try fish from the lakes, meat from the pastures, and edible flowers from the garden. Ferme du Chozal has some of the best views in the village; on a clear day you can see Mont Blanc. Frédéric and Anne-Christine offer you home-baked bread for breakfast, homemade yogurts and jams, Beaufort butter and cheeses, eggs, ham and fruit salads, and their staff, young and multi-lingual, are charming. Wake to green fields, birdsong and cowbells, hike to the Cormet de Roseland’s glorious lake, and return to new pine, old beams, soft beds and deep baths. Cosy up in a little library filled with magazines, board games and books (and DVDs for the mini cinema), laze by the heated pool, soak in the jacuzzi with an aperitif. In the second chalet (connected by a tunnel) is that wonderful restaurant and its excellent cellar. Some bedrooms have low beams, others have balconies.
