Mas Sainte Anne

Peynier, Bouches-du-Rhône
Bed & Breakfast

The red-shuttered old Provençal farmhouse rises from rose beds: gracious Jacqueline keeps house, pool and gardens perfectly

Rooms sleep 2

On its hilltop on the edge of pretty Peynier, the old mas stands in glory before Cézanne’s Montagne Sainte Victoire: pull the cowbell, pass the wooden doors and the red-shuttered farmhouse rises from beds of roses. Beautifully restored, it once belonged to the painter Vincent Roux and memories of his life live on, thanks to your gracious and very helpful hostess. The Roux room is the nicest, all beams, terracotta tiles, fantastic ochre/green bathroom down the hall and delicious garden view. The house has a wonderful old-fashioned patina and the gardens are perfectly kept.

A special place indeed! The rooms ooze provencal charm and the garden and pool are lovely. Close to the TGV and airport and well situated for exploring the villages of Provence as well as visiting the coast. Jacqueline is a warm and wonderful hostess and her attention to detail made our stay very pleasant indeed!

Thisis delightful family menage where Madame runs the show with help from visits by the rest of the family. We received a most warm welcome and felt free to roam the garden and take advantage of the poolside kitchen for picnic lunches.Lovely countryside all around and if you like dogs Polux is a true friend.
