Frances and her husband could not have been more helpful . V good value and two absolutely delicious evening meals.

Always one for a bargain, my wife and I decided to advantage of the special offer at les Cyprès, what a great deal it was! We were so impressed by the welcome and great food we stayed an extra 2 nights. But more than that it was the efforts made regarding our 3 year old daughter. Thank you Frances & Keith.....not forgetting Jazzdog

My wife and I wanted a quiet little place to chill out for a few days before going onwards to Nice. Les Cypres and little Contes fit the bill - a few days of doing nothing, siestas and lazing in the beautiful garden. Unfortunately, a couple of days after we made our reservation we were told that Frances was away, so we regretfully had to miss her cooking, which we had read so much about here. However, her daughter Naomi was a very kind and thoughtful host who made a lot of effort to ensure we were looked after well. Overall a pleasant stay.

If you have been lucky enough to find Les Cypres, then you have found a little gem. Frances and Keith were so kind to us throughout our 8 night stay, it simply felt like home. Les Cypres has a wonderfully relaxed feel, we pic-nic'd in their beautiful garden every evening and Frances and Keith's generosity was simply second to none, with the most delicious home made limoncello, coffee and home made ice cream being simply offered to us! Incredible ;-) Breakfasts were beautiful, made of home made delicious treats. Enjoy ;-)

We had four days here and would certainly make a return visit. We were very late and still welcomed warmly with a delicious meal. There is a comfortable, family feeling at this place and Frances is a wonderful cook and hostess. Would recommend.

Patsy, Eauze

wonderful hostess, excellent food, very comfortable room. a really great find and one my wife and I will use again. 10/10.

The setting. The hospitality. The food. What else do you need to know about Les Cypres? Frances and Keith extend a homely, convivial warmth and are fascinating raconteurs. There is a lovely relaxed attitude to life at Les Cypres, the comfortable and immaculate bedrooms, lounging in the garden with the view towards Contes, or a dinner, which is essential. Frances's superlative and generous cooking set a benchmark for the remainder of our holiday, asking one another "would Frances like this?". A visitor commented it is the best value dinner in the village and above all - great fun.

Andrew, South croydon

Delightful. Frances is a true hostess. Attentive without intrusion. A font of local knowledge. A fabulous cook. Bedrooms very comfortable. Superbe bedding. Bathroom compact. Very clean.

This was our first visit to a 'special places to stay' guest house and we were not disappointed. The room was light, spacious and welcoming with a pleasant en-suite. The gardens are beautiful and the perfect place to relax. Breakfast on the terrace was a wonderful start to the day and Frances and Keith kindly prepared an amazing evening meal which was restaurant quality at a fraction of the price. The local area was superb and our little girl loved visiting the local communal swimming pool. Frances and Keith are wonderful hosts who do all they can to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay.

In thirty five years of holidays in France and having visited many 'Special Places to Stay' we have never had a more enjoyable week. Frances, particularly, and Keith work unfailingly hard in their efforts to look after their guests.. Do not go for superfluous luxury, but do go for a warm welcome, comfortable clean rooms and accurate complete information about the locality but above all go for Frances' cooking which is of the highest standard in copious quantities. All in all Les Cypres must be the best value in the Alpes Maritimes

We had a very warm welcome on a very chilly January night. Dinner was excellent - a rich stew from a local boar who strayed too close to the property! Intelligent use of local ingredients including a homemade tisane from herbs out of the garden to warm us up on arrival. Overall an excellent alternative from the madness (and prices!) of Nice and the Riviera. We'll go back.
