The
Experience

Peaceful narrow lanes between high banks and hedges bring you to Les Sources. Hydrangeas and old-fashioned roses surround the early 19th-century longère – restored, traditionally furnished and nicely equipped by Roger and Sandra. They used to own an award-winning hotel and restaurant in Wales so the kitchen brims over with every culinary aid you could want, from Le Creuset pots to seafood pans. Rooms are beamed, spotless and comfortable; in winter, curl up with books, games, puzzles before a crackling fire – logs are provided for the big granite fireplace. Open-tread stairs (with safety gate) lead to three carpeted bedrooms with sloping ceilings, roof windows, coordinated bedding, bedside lamps and pictures. The bathroom is on the ground floor. Such a lovely setting – nearly an acre of lawns, trees and shrubs and a stream to one side. There’s a herb garden, too, and an orchard full of rich fruit-bearing trees. All around are fields and the sea is less than two miles, with deserted sandy beaches and a view of Jersey.

Reviews

The amount of care and attention to detail at this gite is second to none-Roger and Sandra have set the bar so high, that anywhere else will come a poor second. The gite is cosy, comfortable and very clean and in a lovely part of France with plenty of things to do. Please go, you won't be disappointed.

Hilary

The cottage has all the home comforts you could wish for, and was spotless. Large, safe, private garden for children. Well positioned for vast sandy beaches, fantastic markets and lots of good places to eat. Roger and Sandra were really helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended and we would certainly stay there again.

Beverley

Have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Les Sources; such a beautiful property and fabulous garden. Sandra and Roger were great hosts - a thoughtful welcome pack was provided and they could not do enough to ensure our stay was perfect! We would certainly return to Les Sources.

Mary

Very good, very clean and well equipped house with beautiful garden.

Wim

We had such a wonderful time staying in this beautiful french gite. It has everything you could want for a relaxing family holiday near lovely towns and beaches. The garden is private and huge- great for children. The cottage is spotless and traditionally decorated, with all the mod-cons a family could need. There are books and games for entertainment, and leaflets about local restaurants, activities and places to visit. Roger and Sandra are brilliant hosts and we very much look forward to visiting their wonderful cottage again.

A real home from home; Les Sources is a charming property with a beautiful large and very private garden. The house is well presented, very clean and tidy and extremely well equipped. The location is picturesque and exceptionally peaceful whilst being a short drive from quiet beaches and pretty towns. We visited in the summer but have no doubt it would be as lovely to visit at any time of the year Roger and Sandra are delightful and so helpful. We had a wonderful week and all wish we were still there now!

Isabel, London

Peaceful location with a lovely large garden, and only a few kilometers away from a beautiful quiet beach. A lovely place to stay if you want to get away from it all.

We had a wonderful week at Les Sources. Roger and Sandra greeted us on arrival to show us around this gorgeous property. The house is very comfortable and relaxing in a beautiful quiet, peaceful location. We went with two children who thoroughly enjoyed the open space (and the neighbours dogs who are extremely good at football!) we would definitely recommend staying here and hope to visit again.

Kathryn

We received a great welcome from Sandra & Roger to the best equipped, cleanest & most tastefully decorated gite we’ve ever used (and we’ve used several). Very rural location (car needed to get to shops & bars etc) with large garden – the ideal “crash-out” break – 3 miles or so from the emptiest beach we’ve ever seen! Don’t underestimate the Cherbourg peninsula – lots to see and do. We expect to return to Les Source soon.

Peter

"Les Sources" is the perfect holiday home, stylish but cosy accomodation and a wonderful natural garden.Every requirement has been provided and Roger and Sandra are the perfect helpful hosts.
