The
Experience

This elegant 18th-century Chateau on the edge of the pretty town of Bretteville l’Orgueilleuse has a friendly, family feel – owners Aude and Franck are raising four children here as well as welcoming guests. Three bedrooms on the first floor are airy and light, kilims and floorboards underfoot, beams overhead, white walls and minimal fuss, each with a stylish modern bathroom. Tall windows overlook the beautiful lawned gardens with space to roam or relax, perhaps with an apéritif from the honesty bar. Breakfast at the family table in the dining room is an ample array of French fare, ideal for fuelling forays into Normandy.
