On the edge of Gramat, down a private drive, a gorgeous old mill and a big welcome from a hospitable couple. Cushioned loungers furnish sloping lawns down to the stream, the water flows beneath your feet and you’ll relax the second you arrive. Warm inviting bedrooms, four reached down a spiral stair, and most opening to the garden, are distinguished by taffeta curtains and fine tapestries; the more private suite lies in a charming outbuilding. Gardens are a treat – a charming collection of rare ducks wander through the grounds. The region is much loved, but please note, the surroundings whilst beautiful are not suitable for small children.

We had a lovely stay at Moulin de Fresquet The only disappointment was that we only stayed two nights. It is a wonderful building and garden. It was so quite we slept for 10 hours the first night. The surrounding area is magic we visited Rocamador, and three other medieval villages which Gerard and Claude recommended. They are great hosts and the breakfast was so good with home made jams. We would love to stay again. Mary and Tim

We have had the pleasure of staying at Le Moulin twice in 2 months, as part of our house-hunting adventure in the area. Claude et Gerard sont une couple encroyable! We have just sold our Auberge in the Auvergne, and know only too well of the hard work and commitment that goes on in the background to create this haven of peace and beauty. The rooms are particularly cool and welcoming at this time of year in this prolonged heatwave (Canicule), and the breakfast choice and presentation is amazing. Well done Claude et Gerard A bientot, bien sur! Shirley et Simon

Luxurious in every respect, the Moulin surrounds guests with ancient stone walls, spacious mown lawns, gorgeous fabrics, oil paintings, and fine furnishings. From melt-in-the-mouth brioche to the plummiest home-made jam, the highly experienced and sophisticated Ramelots make breakfast an art form.
