The mill is 13th century and Cistercian, the owners are talented and attentive, the setting is magical. Kingfishers and wild orchids, herons, hammocks and happy dogs… and it is just as wonderful inside. Furniture has been renovated and painted, books peep from alcoves, bathrooms are delightful, and you get a little guest sitting room with a wood-burner. Down its own bumpy track from the village, with timeless views of cliffs, woods and weir, let the chorus of birdsong and the rush of the millrace wash over you; they even generate their own electricity. Heaven in Quercy.

This wonderful hideaway B&B is just heaven on earth. Isolated down a long meandering drive descending into a beautiful wooded valley and river. The property is certainly old and 'so French' from the exterior, but once inside, you enter a world of very tasteful and comfortable surroundings. The bedroom was comfortable with an efficient and clean shower etc. The large glass door on one side of the room overlooked the spectacular lake, river and weir. Host Fi, produced lovely breakfast, and a delicious dinner on our first evening. She was so helpful and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble

Moulin de la Treille is a truly beautiful place and only about 40 minutes drive from Brice. We spent 3 days of tranquil bliss there, relaxing and visiting the local area. Fi and Giles are incredibly welcoming and gave us brilliant local tips. We would highly recommend staying here - Sayyeda & Ben

Second visit to this lovely old mill by a river in its own secluded valley. Fi is a lovely hostess and breakfasts on the terrace with beautiful views were very relaxed. Walk or canoe from the mill. Good base for visits to all the attractions in the area. Fi also does lovely furniture!

This is a magical place, hidden in a valley, off the main road. The mill is an amazing building, renovated to very high standards. The rooms are cosy and very comfortable. Fi and Giles were wonderful hosts, looked after us very well. This is a wonderful place to relax. If you love nature, you can spend time watching the kingfishers. Saw an otter on our last day! We highly recommend this place!

La Moulin de la Treille is a beautiful secret hideaway. It is set in a stunning location and perfect for those who want to relax in peace and quiet. You will be superbly looked after by hosts Fi and Giles, an English couple for whom nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are stylish, comfortable and spotlessly clean with ensuite bathrooms. Delicious evening meals can be arranged in advance. We would definitely return to this French idyll.

My wife and I came to Moulin de Latreille for our honeymoon last month and could not have dreamt of a better place. The stunning old mill is set in the most beautiful valley nestled next to the cool, clear river and surrounded by meadows. Fi and Giles (and Felix) hosted us with such warmth and generosity. Fresh croissants, fruit and coffee for breakfast on the terrace, the most comfortable bed either of us have ever slept in, and a room that was so luxurious but still understated. We struggled to tear ourselves away for long enough to explore the restaurants, canoeing and vineyards nearby.
