The
Experience

In the heart of a quiet village, through a formal French garden, is a pretty half-timbered house with a Normandy air. Pleasant Marie-Estelle is a straightforward lady with a quiet smile, serving breakfast around a large oak table in the dining room, or outside in summer. Sit listening to the gurgling stream down by the charming summerhouse; in chillier weather, the salons’ daybeds make a comfy spot. Up the winding oak staircase are the light and luminous suite ‘Diane’, southern-coloured ‘Manon’ gazing over romantic rooftops, and 50s-feel ‘Amélie’. Visit snail and chestnut fêtes, and Lake d’Eguzon for nautical things. Lovely.

Reviews

We made an overnight stop here on our way back from the Languedoc and could not have made a better choice. A fabulous house in immaculate condition in a delightful village which is well worth exploring - do visit the church. Our hosts were most welcoming and entertaining , and Marie Estelle 's cooking is great. One to return to!

A very nice place to stay, very friendly people, pleasant rooms and bathrooms in this beautiful house. To have dinner together with the owners and other guests was very pleasant and the meal was great. Our children (14 and 17) couldn't understand all the French which was spoken during dinner but they appreciated it very much to have the opportunity to have dinner with 'real French people'.
