Bed & Breakfast

A charming welcome awaits from Madame and her many cats at this beautiful historic home. Delicious dinners and elegant rooms

The beautifully proportioned house in its big shady garden has been in the family for over 200 years. The sitting room is a cool blue-grey symphony, the dining room smart yellow-grey with a rare, remarkable maroon and grey marble table: breakfast is in here, dinner, sometimes en famille, always delicious, is in the big beamed kitchen. Each stylishly comfortable room has individual character and Madame has a fine eye for detail. She is charming, dynamic, casually elegant and has many cats. Visitors have poured praise: “quite the most beautiful house we’ve ever stayed in”, “the evening meals were superb”.

We stayed one night here on our way back from the south to Caen. What a great find! It's really close to the A71 motorway but also really peaceful. The rooms are large and beautifully appointed. In fact the whole place is lovely. I told Madame we were vegetarian when I booked - she cooked us a lovely meal and we spent an enjoyable evening sitting taking to the other guests while we ate. We'll definitely be back!

What a find! After a long drive, we arrived at this beautiful oasis of warmth, hospitality and thoroughly authentic quality through and through. Madame is delightful, her house is stunning and her cooking yummy! Our room was fabulous, every detail was of the highest quality and beautiful. Do have dinner, we spent an enjoyable evening with Dutch cyclists, an elegant French gentleman and some fellow UK folk, food was delicious, very generous portions. We loved the kitten and cats, and wished we had stayed longer. Highly highly recommended, thank you Madame for a wonderful stay.

An overnight stop on our way south, This is a delightful place with a very welcoming hostess. The meals were superb and we can thoroughly recommend it.

A 2-night stay at this gem. Marie-Claude was the most generous host. The room/bathroom: spacious, immaculate and full of comfort: the house and parkland: a wonderful setting for a quiet stroll; her breakfast: delicious. The dinners two of the best meals we have ever eaten - 4/5 courses of wonderful local and home-made food superbly created and produced. The value for money was astonishing. With Union Jack shoes to greet so many UK guests, Marie- Claude needs to cherished by us all. She alone provided all this - cook, bottle-washer, the lot, plus excellent advice on local visits.
