There are bikes to borrow and the countryside is a 500m ride away. The moment you enter the gardens of this charming edge-of-town house, built for a wealthy family in 1904, all feels peaceful. Your hosts – she with perfect English – are among the warmest we know, their generosity extending from homemade brioche at breakfast to billowing whiter-than-white muslin and tip-top mattresses. Bathrooms are minimalist with an antique touch; the two double rooms have a shared kitchen and doors opening onto a terrace. Breakfast can be served outside or in the conservatory – gluten and dairy-free if preferred. Guests love it here.

My wife and I stayed here for a night on our way to Tuscany. Finding a great looking house in a lovely wooded garden on the edge of town. Françoise and Christian were excellent hosts and made us feel welcome and relaxed. Superb food, decor and surroundings certainly made our one night stay very memorable and very pleasant. The next morning Françoise gave me the best directions to Switzerland, the scenic route. Wonderful.

Excellent welcome, very nice accommodation. The bed is comfortable with crisp old fashioned bedlinen. The food was simple but delicious, a cold plate with local delicacies and salads. The garden is lovely and the owners very friendly. A warm recommendation.

We stayed here for one night on our return trip from Italy with our three children in the family room at La Maison de Juliette, it was a lovely end to our holiday. Francoise and Christian were extremely welcoming and provided detail on a lovely local restaurant. The house is decorated to a high standard with lots of lovely French detail. Our breakfast was served in the garden and the table was beautifully laid with a lovely breakfast including fresh breads, conserves and local cheese. A memorable breakfast and it provided plenty of fuel for our route to Calais! Highly recommended!

Francoise and Christian made us very welcome; we stayed in the Guest House which was very comfortable and had all the facilities we needed including the use of a kitchen. Whilst we weren't expecting to have the Kitchen we didn't realise this was shared with other occupants of the Guest house. We had an excellent breakfast in the house conservatory overlooking the garden. We had an interesting chat with Francoise over breakfast before driving north to Alsace.

We stayed for 5 nights in the larger half of the Guest House, sharing the compact but very well designed and fully equipped kitchen. Francoise and Christian, who both spoke excellent English, were delightful and attentive hosts and were able to suggest excellent locations, taking into account the variable mountain weather. We visited both the French and Swiss sides of the northern Jura and discovered, to our delight, that the Alsace wine region and tour were also close by. Francoise served delicious breakfasts with either home-made bread or cake to accompany Christian's wonderful preserves.

An ideal place to explore a wonderful region. We had the two rooms in the cabin with a kitchen in the middle, this more than suited our needs. Our hosts could not have been more helpful. Francoise is a fountain of knowledge and helped us gain the best of a very wet week. We were also lucky to have a meal cooked by Christian, which was wonderful. Breakfasts were lovely, something different and homemade everyday. I can highly recommend a stay.

Wonderful, La Maison de Juliette wraps itself around you with cozy. Francoise and Christian make it easy to settle into their home and relax. Francoise is a gracious hostess who ensured our comfort as we had been on the road for 5 weeks. Breakfasts were excellent with jams, breads to entice and the perfect cup of morning coffee to start a day. They were both very helpful with directions and suggestions for day trips. We hope to return someday, our thanks.

We spent four nights at La Maison de Juliette in the Pâquerettes and were delighted to find there was a shared kitchen attached as well. The accommodation was very tastefully decorated and kept scrupulously clean. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming and did their utmost to make our stay enjoyable. Françoise gave us lots of advice on what to do in the area and Christian coped admirably with the restrictions my lactose-free diet imposed on his culinary skills! Breakfasts were plentiful and varied, with delicious home-made jam, bread, and muffins. We enjoyed thoroughly our stay.

Our week in the Franche-Comte region was made all the more wonderful by staying at La Maison de Juliette. A truly charming fin de siecle house in it's own grounds La Maison de Juliette was a perfect realm of tranquility. Our hosts made us feel more than welcome and were more than happy to attend to our every need. The family room was very comfortable, and the breakfasts we had during our 6 night stay were always a delight. Our hosts were more than happy to offer extremely good advice on what to do in the area, and we would have no reservation in recommending La Maison de Juliette to others.

We spent a wonderful night at the Maison de Juliette. Francoise and her family were very welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. We stayed with our two young boys in the main house in the "family room". It was beautifully decorated and the boys had a separate but joined room, so we all slept very well. Breakfast was delightful with home made brioche and local produce. The only down side was that we could only stay one night as we were just passing through the region.

Maison de Juliette was a pleasant stay. The rooms were nicely decorated, nice bedding and towels, and spotless – our 11 month toddler checked every corner. Françoise set the cot and made sure we had everything we needed. Her english is very good and she responded to all are email questions in no time. They converted a barn and the rooms have a joining shared kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped and there all the essentials, Françoise husband, Christian, is a chef and we had home made cakes, yogurt, bread and more importantly brioche. In short we will be staying again on our travels.
