A pretty lane leads through the lush Scorff river valley to the sunny courtyard of this ancient, peaceful hamlet – just two cottages and the owners’ house! Denise chose Morbihan partly because the climate suits her passion for gardening and it shows: outdoors in the landscaped private gardens of each cottage and indoors where cut flowers are a treat. The welcome basket is generous too, as is the big basket of logs and bikes to bolt off on if the mood takes you. The cottages share, but have separate times to enjoy, the big, open-air hot tub, and both have an appealingly traditional/fresh style with a seriously ramped-up level of comfort. In Jasmine, a lovely master bedroom and twin room under lofty ceilings, a beamed, south-facing sitting room. In Orchid (all ground level), a huge oak sleigh bed and handmade kitchenette. In both, clever bath/shower rooms, excellent equipment, fine linen, fluffy towels. Guemene-sur-Scorff is a 10 minute drive, Pontivy 20 minutes – and do visit the Abbaye de Bon Repos and the Château de Josselin.

We had a lovely holiday staying in Orchid Barn. Denise and Julie are very caring hosts and couldn't have done more to make sure we had a relaxing holiday. The welcome pack was the best we've ever had, and the delicious meal that was waiting for us was just what we needed after the long drive. The cottage was spotless and very well equipped. We enjoyed the private garden, particularly watching the variety of butterflies and moths (hummingbird hawk moths in particular) that visited the plants in the borders. Brittany Spa cottages is well placed for exploring much of Brittany.

Julie and Denise really made us feel welcome and at home in this beautiful cottage. The cottage is very well equipped, so for those of us who really do like to self cater there is everything you need, but if you want to eat out Julie and Denise will give you lots of excellent advice. The welcome basket was full of delicious goodies and really set us up for the stay. We would also recommend that you take advantage of one Denise's beautiful home-cooked meals and her own very special Tarte Tatin! A real gem in a gorgeous location with wonderful hosts.

We had an extremely relaxing and comfortable week staying in Orchid Barn in early May 2017. Denise and Julie must have worked so hard to make this a very special place to stay. The accommodation is well equipped and the garden/outlook at the back of the barn is particularly good with a very private patio area with table and chairs and comfortable sun loungers which we used a lot. We were very impressed with the welcome pack provided, it was the best we have ever had. We requested a meal for our arrival day (delicious chicken chasseur and a tarte tatin), much appreciated after a long drive.

We have just returned from Jasmine Cottage and cannot praise the owners enough. The cottage is a lovely retreat in a tiny hamlet typical of rural Northern France. As soon as you step in to the cottage there is a sense of calm and relaxation enhanced by the generous welcome pack that awaits you. The cottage has everything you need and is contemporary in design with a gentle on the eye colour scheme. The lovely gardens are very well tended and the private garden at Jasmine Cottage is perfect for days you don't want to go too far. Visits to coasts and cultural sites - easy drives. Truly lovely!

Me and my partner Jon found Jasmine Cottage a perfect haven. We loved the relaxing ambience, beautiful cottage, a very generous welcome pack and home made 2 course dinner on arrival. It has everything you could wish for, including bikes to borrow (which we did) and a hot tub to relax in. Denise and Julie immediately made us feel at home. A special base to explore the area. The local bistro in Langoelan is definitely worth a visit or two.

My husband, my son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jasmine Cottage, which was comfortable, spacious, and very peaceful. The garden areas were beautiful, and we enjoyed playing badminton and using the bikes to cycle around the quiet roads. We were made to feel very welcome and would recommend Jasmine Cottage wholeheartedly to anyone who is looking for a restful rural retreat in a this lush and green part of France.

Jasmine Cottage is in a peaceful setting - a very pretty property, tastefully renovated and furnished. The friendly owners, Denise and Julie, work hard to maintain their high standards, and have created a fabulous place. It is immaculately clean, equipped with everything you require, and with a thoughtfully well-stocked welcome basket. We loved it so much we amended our return ferry crossing, staying on for an extra 4 days. We followed their recommendations for restaurants and places to visit and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. We will definitely return and highly recommend it to you.

Peaceful, wonderful, cozy -- Orchid Barn for 2 was a wonderful way to end a 5 week driving tour of France. Arriving late to a great dinner, and snuggling into a great bed, waking to birds and then sharing the goodies in a great welcome basket, we started the last bit of our adventure. Denise and Julie have created a home away from home with nice access to walk or drive to explore the area. There was a basket full of area info to help us plan day trips, knowing we were coming back to comfort. Certainly made memories for us, thanks. C

A ‘cut above the rest’ when it comes to accommodation. Wonderful hosts, very helpful. Cottage ‘chocolate box’ gorgeous, spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished, well equipped and cosy. Beds amazing. Log fire wonderful on cooler evenings. Lazy, warm afternoons in a private garden. Hot tub relaxing and private. Bikes a bonus for cycling the quiet lanes and beautiful lake. Great touring base. Welcome pack more than generous, inc home-grown produce. Lovely gesture. This has to be the best accommodation we have rented in Brittany. One week not enough, would not hesitate to return. A real gem!

Fantastic calm and tranquil setting with welcoming comfortable accommodation. A thoroughly relaxing break with the hot tub and bicycles providing entertainment and gentle exercise on safe roads.

We booked Jasmine Cottage for a last minute get away and were delighted to have found it! On arrival we were greeted with a welcome hamper of local food and wine and a roaring log fire. The cottage is spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished and absolutely immaculate. Denise and Julie are wonderful hosts - helpful and friendly without being imposing. There's a detailed info pack with some superb restaurant and market recommendations. The open plan downstairs set up is ideal for children and a cot bed was supplied in the large twin room. A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing holiday!

Our week-long stay at Brittany Spa Cottages was an absolute delight! We stayed in the Jasmine Cottage and it was absolutely perfect. Everything had been thought of, from the practical (like plentiful kitchen/loo roll, pegs, dishwasher tabs, washing powder, BBQ equipment) to the luxurious (like the extremely generous welcome pack, amazing toiletries and sumptuous linens). What's more, as a family travelling with a toddler, they made everything so easy - putting up a high chair & travel cot and providing a lovely selection of toys. We could not rate our stay highly enough! Thank you!

Orchid Barn was perfect, starting with the delicious meal on our arrival and the welcome pack with home grown produce included. We were very happy and comfortable there and looked forward to returning each day to relax in the pretty garden and the hot tub. Julie and Denise were so friendly and did everything they could to ensure our comfort and well-being.
