The Experience

Robert’s greeting is the first line of an ode to hospitality written in warm stone in breathtaking gardens, set to the tune of the mill stream. Immaculate rooms in the guest barn are comfortingly filled with good beds and fresh flowers, bathrooms are sheer luxury, and views sweep over the lawns. Wake up to a royal breakfast of breads, croissants, pâtisseries, jams, fruits and tiny cheeses served on white tablecloths on the vine-shaded veranda or on the terrace overlooking the garden. All is beautifully, lovingly tended by Robert. His two happy rescue dogs will make friends with yours; find your own special spot in the gardens.

Reviews

Le Moulin Neuf is a gem of a B&B. Set in wonderful grounds along a stream valley in which wildlife abounds, this is a haven of quiet and beauty, away from the crowds yet within easy access by car of all the key sites in the Dordogne. Host Robert is the paradigm B&B owner against whom we measure all others. Charming, friendly. Breakfasts are consistently lovely - freshly made, delicious fresh fruit salads, yoghurts, fresh bread, croissants and pains au chocolat, good coffee. Robert recommends local restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets and to book the tables. Superb in every way.

Another magical visit. Robert has the wonderful gift of making every guest seem special, and his enthusiasm seems to be as fresh as if he had only just opened, while his experience is everywhere in evidence. After a rather up-and-down holiday, to end it with the calm, beauty and kindness offered at 'Le Moulin Neuf' was deeply restorative and we were especially fortunate that it was warm enough to sit on the beautiful terrace for our delicious breakfast, looking out over his enchanting garden. Our heart-felt thanks.

Rosie

An idyllic place to stay, wonderful host, lovely rooms with a lounge to relax in . The grounds are lovely and great if like us you have a dog, early morning walks along the brook were magical .lovely countryside to explore and lots to see

Sue

A beautiful spot, idyllic, even in rain! Robert offered extras to any other B&B we visited: heated towel rail, bathrobes, lock-up safe, fresh flowers, bed made and room cleaned every day, frig and electric jug available in sitting room. Attention to detail is Robert's hallmark, including info he gives, whether where to eat (he books it for you) or what to see.

Absolutely fantastic! Robert is the most wonderful host. Rooms are immaculate, thoughtfully appointed, and the setting is peaceful and beautiful. Incredible value.
