La Badoussie

We had a wonderful week at La Badoussie - it is in a splendid setting in the rolling hills with lots of lovely villages nearby to visit. We were there with a collection of small children who loved the pool and roaming around the garden. There is loads of space in the house and the owners were very helpful and responsive throughout. Really recommend.

Perfect holiday home. This was our third visit with extended family of 10 and it never disappoints. House has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Amazing views, great pool, peaceful spot. Plenty of space for all the family whatever age. Wouldn’t hesitate to go again!

A fantastic house and pool, beautifully furnished and maintained, in a peaceful location overlooking a wooded valley. It comes very equipped, and we couldn't recommend it more highly for a memorable family holiday.

La Badoussie is a stunningly beautiful house overlooking a wooded valley in the heart of the Dordogne. Our family enjoyed every aspect of the house which included every bedroom having en-suite facilities, spacious living areas & plenty of outdoor seating areas for everyone. The pool area was especially relaxing. Thank you to the owners for their attention to every detail, we enjoyed every moment !

We were a family of three generations, aged 5 to 83, and La Badoussie was just as it appears, possibly even more spacious. It is a beautiful, stylish, comfortable house, with an amazing pool, lots of seating areas with different views and a garden which must have taken some time to create. The planting is lovely. I can’t think of anything it lacked in the large kitchen, it was easy to live in, even with young children. This is probably the best property we have ever rented as a family, the renovation is so good you can all be together or pick your spot and relax in peace. Perfection.

What a find! La Badoussie is an amazing house in a beautiful part of France. A home from home for our party of ten which included four granddaughters who loved the heated pool and all the inflatables provided. The pool is regularly maintained and there are ample sunbeds and sturdy sun umbrellas. The house is very comfortable and has all the essentials with plenty of seating inside and outside on the terrace. We were so comfortable that we did little sightseeing! except to Castlenaud and Chateau des Milandes which is a must especially if you are a Josephine Baker fan. We can't wait to return

We had a heavenly week at La Badoussie. The property is idyllically situated in the hills above the pretty village of Daglan, not far from Domme and Sarlat. The house itself is beautifully furnished and incredibly comfortable with excellent facilities. The extensive grounds are beautiful and you have an endlessly wonderful view from the terrace overlooking the pool. Daglan offers a small market on a Sunday morning, along with two restaurants. Belves and the impressive Castelnaud are nearby as are many other chateaux or you can canoe languidly on the river from near Roque Gageac.

For a special family gathering to celebrate our 60th birthday’s, and 35th wedding anniversary, my husband and I were looking for a pretty special property and location. La Badoussie delivered on every level. A stunning farmhouse, beautifully furnished and equipped with absolutely everything we could have needed. The pool was a great size and had loungers and shades in abundance. We were very lucky with the weather, so lovely to come back to in the afternoon after a morning of exploring the many castles and beautiful nearby villages. La Badoussie is a beautifully appointed villa, stylish, yet homely and is well equipped for both indoor and outdoor activities. Our group consisted of 3 generations and the layout of the property suited us perfectly with plenty of space to be alone or be altogether. The pool was particularly enjoyed; my 3 year old granddaughter loved the inflatable toys provided. The villa is in a quiet rural hamlet, perfectly situated to explore the beautiful Dordogne. So much to see within a short distance. The owners were very helpful and responded quickly to enquiries. You will not be disappointed.

The house met our needs perfectly. It was very spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. There was nothing more that we would have wanted. The view from the house across the hills was serene and some beautiful villages and river scenery were nearby. The pool was of a good size and there was plenty of shade. We had an idyllic week.

We enjoyed a fabulous week at La Badoussie in late August. The location, house, pool and facilities are first class with spectacular views, including the occasional hot air ballon, across the beautiful rolling French countryside. Perfect house for a family holiday and we will be visiting again. Colleen could not have been more helpful and all expectations were exceeded. One of the best Sawday’s places we have stayed at.

We could not have picked better accommodation for celebrating several family occasions - La Badoussie is very comfortable, with everything you could wish for provided to the highest standard. The pool is fabulous and was much enjoyed by all the family ,particularly our grandchildren, but meals on the terrace provided a splendid end to the day with the beautiful views and opportunity to appreciate starlit skies. The morning trip to the boulangerie was not onerous and Daglan is a delightful local centre , whilst other sites are not too distant .

La Badoussie is an extremely well appointed and comfortable, well arranged accommodation for 10. All bedrooms en suite and lots of space. Beautiful views and great swimming pool. Children enjoyed the table tennis, badminton and boule too. Good location for exploring the Dordogne.

A beautiful house in an outstanding location, perfect for visiting the wonderful region of The Dordogne. Many attractions within easy reach, as well as great markets/supermarkets to stock up on essentials. The house itself is very well equipped, clean and comfortable. The heated pool makes a real difference. Owners are excellent with regard to arrangements. Couldn’t ask for better. Damage/security deposit seemed a little expensive, but was returned very promptly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here and hope to revisit soon.

Just wanted to thank you so much for providing such a wonderful house for our stay. Everyone was thrilled and you can imagine how the little ones enjoyed the pool -that’s not to say us older ones didn’t as well! But it’s not just the house but also its fantastic position, being central to so many of “les petits beaux villages”, each one so pretty yet characterful in their own special way. Despite the heat we loved just strolling round them, finding little alleyways at every turn and the occasional bar! A memorable stay in a fabulous place. 'Merci beaucoup"

We had a great holiday in La Badoussie. Set in a wonderful location, this spacious and very comfortable villa was beautifully furnished and equipped to a high standard and absolutely ideal for our large family get together. The outside eating and pool areas were very well planned and much enjoyed during our stay. The surrounding flora and fauna were an added bonus.

We had a fantastic week at La Badoussie. The property is beautifully decorated, clean, spacious and has lovely views from the garden. My children loved the pool. It is in a perfect location for exploring the Dordogne with many beautiful villages a short drive away. I can't recommend it highly enough. I would love to come back here.

Superb house in a beautiful area, decorated with taste and absolutely immaculate. Big garden with an amazing view and a heated pool. Highly recommended, really secluded, no neighbours. In one word: happiness. Score 10/10
