The Experience

Settle into this glorious 18th-century farm building with vast private gardens. The ground floor is one big living/dining area, with tiled floors, local stone walls and a wood-burning stove at its heart. Lounging on the sofa with a book, enjoy the dazzling view of the 11th-century church of Carlucet.

The kitchen is up a couple of steps and has all the kit you’ll need and plenty of room to cook as a team, plus a big table for sociable meals. You’ll find a hamper of local bread, wine, cheese and snacks as well as all the basics. There’s tons of room for everybody and bedrooms (all air-conditioned) have their own en suite bathroom too.

Hire bikes or enjoy wonderful walks from the door. Stroll through chestnut groves and farmland, past ancient monastery ruins to Saint-Crépin – the owners can give you maps and guides. They also host painting, photography, yoga and French courses. Return to much peace and quiet and a cooling swim or a doze in the garden.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Les Charmes de Carlucet. Charming little village of Salignac nearby and super comfortable accommodations. Kerry and Tomas took such good care of us with five star service all the way, from a weekly cleaning to restaurant reservations, to day trip suggestions to kitchen needs, you name it!! Like the 'yes' hotel. We will definitely visit again. Five star service, five star accommodations! Gorgeous area of France!

In September 2022, I organized 2 yoga retreats: one at the Beaux Reves and one at the Manor House. I have to say that these were my best retreats EVER!! The houses are in a great location, so close to Sarlat, Lascaux, Beynac, etc. and are beautifully decorated. The hosts, Kerry and Tomas, are so kind and ready to help to ensure you have the best of time. We even hired Tomas as our chef and enjoyed some delicious meals. I am already planning another retreat there next year. I recommend this place without any reservation.

We recently returned from 10 marvelous weeks as guests at Beaux Reves, the 3-bedroom gite at Les Charmes de Carlucet in Dordogne, France. The gite is tastefully decorated and fully furnished. The property is quite beautifully maintained, private, and peaceful. The hospitality we received from our hosts Kerry and Tomas was incredibly kind and helpful. They are very personable and friendly with a keen knowledge of the area that they are happy to share. The property is conveniently located in the region that is rich in culture, history, gastronomy, and awesome scenery!

Les Charmes du Carlucet is in a perfect location for visiting the Dordogne region of France. Situated in a beautiful rural setting, it is about a 20 minute drive to Sarlat de Caneda and the Lascaux Cave. Within 30 minutes are multiple little scenic villages with settings out of a movie. The villa itself is beautiful, inviting and comfortable with every amenity you can think of. The pool is private and the perfect size. Kerry and Tomas are on-site hosts who can accommodate every need and answer any question about the area.

What a wonderful piece of heaven that Kerry and Tomos have created in the Dordogne. Fantastic location with close access to all the must do’s I around the area….cycling, canoeing, castel visits, walks and fab food. Beaux Reves is everything you need…Kerry’s attention to detail is great, the decor, the feel of the place. Very comfortable. Wishing them every success. Xxx

Beaux Rêves is a wonderful and very quiet place in a picturesque region in France. The hosts are extremely welcoming, helpful and discreet. The services are of very high quality. To visit and stay imperatively!

We spent a wonderful week in the Beaux Rêves house, at Les Charmes de Carlucet. This house is very pleasant, quiet, spotlessly clean, very functional and superbly decorated. It is ideally located, not far from Sarlat, Beynac, La Roque Gageac and the many tourist sites of the Périgord Noir. It has a private swimming pool adjoining the house. The owners Kerry and Tomas are lovely! They welcomed us warmly and gave us lots of advice on the region's treasures. We highly recommend this three bedroom house which each has a private bathroom with WC and tastefully decorated. We will be back!

“The best Villa / Gite we have every stayed in” We loved this place and extended are initial booking twice and then returned for another 2 weeks. It has everything you need for a fantastic stay and its in a great location. So quite, but handy for shops and a great base to explore the Dordogne. This holiday accommodation has set the bar really high and we are yet to find anything else that comes close. This is topped off by the kindness of hosts Kerry & Tomas who make you feel so at home and nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be back but have a feeling this will be booked out for a while.

We spent a week in late August as guests at Beaux Reves as a family of four. The house was immaculate with the heated pool a wonderful treat at the end of a hot day. The area is bursting with things to see and do - we'd recommend Lascaux caves and the Bike Bus in Castlenaud in particular - and Kerry gave us lots of advice on how to make the best of our time in Carlucet including helping us print tickets/ reserve places. The local bar/ restaurant is a very short walk away with wonderful food and views. Would wholeheartedly recommend for a family holiday.

What a fantastic place to stay! We have never (despite endless searching) stayed in such a beautiful, clean, well resourced house which was so easy to live in and had everything we needed - and more! The privacy of the house, patio and pool area was just what we wanted, yet Kerry and Tomas were on hand if we had any questions. Quiet and peaceful, yet within walking distance of a bar/restaurant, great food, sightseeing and activity recommendations from the owners, beautiful countryside, stunning towns, a fabulous welcome pack....we could not have asked for more. We look forward to returning!

les charmes is a very nice self-contained holiday let, where you find everything you need to cook, relax or just be. it's situated outside a small village on the countryside, in a glorious setting, can't be described has to be seen! the place are run by an excellent couple, who lives nearby and are a dwell of information and suggestions.

We had a fantastic holiday at Les Charmes. We stayed for a week in the private villa Beaux Reves and it was absolutely perfect for our family holiday. The accommodation itself is superb with all the bedrooms having air conditioning and everything in fantastic condition. What made it even better was the little things that make life so much easier for a family with two young children (ours were 3 and almost 1 at the time). These include, a separate laundry, highchair and travel cot for the baby, a kitchen that has everything you could need, DVDs, pool toys etc We'd love to visit again

We can't rate this property high enough, fabulous holiday. The website photos are true reflection of The property which is stunning inside and out. A beautiful well equipped villa, excellent pool, private gardens. Kerry and Tomas were wonderful, very helpful and accomodating, even taking time to offer advice on nearby attractions which we had a lot of fun visting. It was lovely to return to to beux reeves after a day sightseeing, we can't wait to return really didn't want to leave. Thank you both for an amazing holiday.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Beaux Rêves! The house is plenty big enough for two families, and had everything we needed for a week-long holiday. Kerry and Tomas were such great hosts and gave us lots of top tips on things to do in the area. We went bike-riding and even took part in a Hallowe'en dress-up event with our kids in a nearby village. We will definitely be returning to Kerry and Tomas's place. We have already booked for next year!!

Nicola, Manchester

This lovely Gite does everything right!. The room we were in was large with high quality bedding and linen, and the kitchen had everything we needed. In a self catering Gite how wonderful to have basics provided so we did not have to go out to shop straight away. We thoroughly enjoyed our time outside by the large pool, where we sat out in very comfortable chairs every chance we could. It is located in such a prime area that we could easily make day trips, and canoeing on the Dordogne was the highlight, along with a visit to Sarlat and Berge

Sue, London

We loved our stay at the Beaux Reves. We had the perfect holiday balance of relaxation with the house's tranquil surroundings and swimming pool and activity with our two sons, ages 10 and 11. We had a fun afternoon canoeing and enjoyed the stunning scenery. We'd also taken our bikes so were delighted to find bike trails on the doorstep. Also on the doorstep, is the excellent Black Duck bistro - to be tried! Kerry & Tomas have thought of everything that guests will need and were always on hand with advice and local knowledge. We'll definitely be back!

We had heard that Beaux Reves was a pleasant holiday location but, when we arrived, we were amazed at just how perfect it is. Every room is decorated and furnished to the highest possible standard and the setting, including the private swimming pool is breathtakingly beautiful. This is definitely the sort of holiday accommodation that is bound to draw one back time and again. The hosts, Kerry & Tomas could not be more attentive and they are completely focused on ensuring that you enjoy every moment of your stay.

Terence, Bristol

Having a large family, makes it so difficult to find a rental which can accomodate the 6 of us while maintaining a certain standard that we really look for when on holidays. Kerry and Tomas' property exceeded all our expectations. The house is magical surrounded by a breathtaking landscape. We had such wonderful weather and so the kids were able to enjoy the pool while mom and dad got to lounge about and relax. How serene! The attention to detail is seen throughout. From the beautiful decor to the super comfortable beds we were spoiled. Thank you Kerry and Tomas for Everything! A bientot!

Introducing

Kerry Flaherty-Rask

Kerry and Thomas both had corporate backgrounds and had stayed in so many hotels they felt confident they knew exactly what guests wanted. When they found this lovely place they decided to settle and they both adore looking after their guests and making a fuss of them.
