The
Experience

You see the low mellow stone house first; then, as you round the bend, the barns come into view, completing three sides of a square. The beauty of the place takes your breath away: historic farm buildings linked by glass walkways, aglow in the sun on the top of a high Welsh hill. Inside: modern comfort, a fresh décor and heaps of wonderful space. The double-height, light-filled kitchen/sitting room – hub of the house with big sofas and wood-burner (limitless logs), a custom-made kitchen, lofty beams and original slit windows – links the sleeping area with the house. Then there’s the conservatory, double-glazed for cosiness and seating 14, with views to blow you away whatever the weather. Most of the bedrooms are in the high barn, including a family room downstairs and a master bedroom up… and you can soak in a roll top as you gaze on sheep.  There’s a friendly pub at Eardisley for family jollies, and the little Stagg at Titley for Michelin stars. You can flick a fly below the front door, cycle the green hills, pop into lively Hay, then come home to books, DVDs and a fabulous big barbecue.
