Down a beautiful lane flanked by moss-covered walls, two miles from Narberth, is an old fortified longhouse in 25 rolling acres – pristine, peaceful and cosy. Here live three dogs, three donkeys, cats, hens and friendly hosts Rayner and Carol. There’s a real fire and books aplenty, equine paintings and fantastic art, and big gorgeous gardens with croquet, a lake and a boat to mess about in. The décor is traditional, the bed linen immaculate, the bathrooms are spanking new and the views to the Preseli Hills gorgeous. Narbeth’s restaurants are good but Carol’s cooking is fabulous.

We had a great 3 night stay and couldn't have been made more welcome by Raynor and Carol who were so helpful. Our room was characterful and comfortable with soft fluffy robes and towels and little touches you don't expect from a bed and breakfast. Food was delicious with homemade bread and preserves every morning. We couldn't recommend a stay highly enough and hope to return when we are next in Pembrokeshire.

What a great place with most hospitable hosts on this beautiful country estate. Our bedroom was very comfortable, beautifully furnished that suited the character of this Pembrokeshire Long House. We had a sitting room to relax in and lots of books and magazines. Breakfast was perfect, Homemade bread, pastries, honey and the rest. We so enjoyed spending time in the gardens with the donkeys, dogs and relaxing in such a peaceful atmosphere. We look forward to a return visit, to enjoy the peace and to spending time with Carol and Rayner.

we stayed 5 nights with Carol and Rayner. It was superbly comfortable. Bedroom ideal, shower room ensuite...all perfect. They are extremely helpful , providing maps, suggestions of where to go, what to see, where to eat etc. It was a joy to be there. They have very comfortable sitting room for guests, super conservatory for delicious summer breakfasts. The house is full of books and pictures . Ted and I felt very much at home and will certainly return for another break...Carole and Ted Cox
