Back again for another wonderful visit, this time we introduced two friends to this beautiful house. We all thoroughly enjoyed the stay and surroundings. Weather not great, but it didn't stop us getting out and about. The welcome pack and flowers were very thoughtfully left. No doubt we will be back.

We always look forward to our stay at HCM . Location is perfect, great views and a great spot for exploring down the Llyn. The house is well appointed and homely. The team at HCM think of everything always there to help. It’s a really special find !

A beautiful comfortable home, in an idyllic location. We were a group of 8…ages 12 - 88…celebrating a birthday…and everyone enjoyed! We found the home is cosy with plenty of space to relax and all the facilities you would need.

Beautiful house with stunning views. Lots of great activities and walks near by in Snowdonia National Park.

Spectacular position, fabulous house, perfect decor and so stylish. We were spoilt with great weather during the day and lovely log fires in the evening. You will not be disappointed, this is the house you always wished for…..

Our favourite Holiday Home & oh wow (!) what a week we had. This was our 6th visit in 7 years (1 year sadly missed due to COVID) and it did not fail to deliver and provide us with a magical week in wonderful N Wales. It was the wettest & windiest of our trips but still one that we will treasure. We had a wonderful week and a wonderful welcome to this fabulous house. The flowers, the welcome hamper, the shopping unpacked – all were greatly appreciated & we loved our downtime in front of the fire playing games. A truly fabulous fun filled & wonderful week in Wales!

This is a special place. We arrived in early October, wondering what kind of weather we might face in Wales. No matter. At Hafod Cae Maen, we were grateful for the excuse of a day of rain to stay put and simply enjoy the home itself. The library was our family's favorite room, but it is hard to choose. The owners have considered every detail and HCM is comfortable in every sense. We also loved the trails that crisscross the bucolic landscape and the views of the water. By car, the house is well-positioned for days exploring Snowdonia, the coast, and historic castles and towns. Ideal.

What a wonderful, hidden gem this house is amongst the beautiful Welsh farmland. The house itself is beautifully renovated with all mod cons and is equipped with everything one might need for an extremely comfortable stay. A particular favourite was the library with open fire for cosy evenings when the children had gone to bed. Though not summer, the gardens were still an absolute delight; the children loved the play house and exploring the lush greenery, while the adults enjoyed the breathtaking views. All round a wonderful place to stay, we wouldn't hesitate to return.

As ever the most wonderful house and Wales in a heatwave was perfect. We absolutely love everything about HCM and surrounding area. We’ll be back next year for definite.

Hafod Cae Maen is beautifully restored and a delightful home base for a northern Wales adventure. Claire and the folks taking care of us during our stay could not have been better at assuring that we had everything we needed. We are from North Carolina and used the opportunity for a family visit with relatives from England. What a great time in a perfect setting! We'll be back.

This was a return visit and we were not disappointed, The house was as comfortable and the garden as beautiful as we remembered. Weather was variable but we managed to visit a lot of fascinating places. Did not see an osprey but a hare made an appearance!

Beautiful place and spot. Lived up to its previous reviews. If looking for something a bit out of the ordinary this place it is ideal. You could just stay in the deck chairs in the garden and admire the view or plenty to do in the area from good sandy beaches to mountain walks and castles. Very welcoming.

When I found this house online - I suspected that I had found a gem, my expecations were exceeded... Hafod Cae Maen is unbeatable - perfect for a group with kids! Stylish, authentic full of character with Quirky art work oozing personality dotted around the walls. If you are looking to explore N Wales - this home is the perfect base. However, I could equally have stayed hanging out there all day. The sunrises and sunsets are out of this world - clean, cosy and dreamy... When can I return?!

A Magical home on a Welsh mountain of dreams.... When I found this house online - I suspected that I had found a gem, my expectations were exceeded... When can I return!!?? For a group of 8 (with kids) Hafod Cae Maen is truly unbeatable - lots of space, with 2 upstairs bathrooms and a balcony from the main bedroom to escape out on to! ....We stayed in springtime, which was bliss - but would love to come back in Winter with the roaring fires, Summer with the 360 degrees of sun spilling in through the windows - or autumn with all the colours...

We enjoyed our stay so much. Hafod Cae Maen is even more stunning in real life than it looks in the pictures. The views and sunsets were amazing and our children absolutely loved the garden. From a practical point of view, it was so helpful having 2 bathrooms and so many comfy sofas to relax on.

We have stayed here on many occations as it used to be my wifes family home & we go there as a family get together to reminise The place is out of this world each time we leave our stress at the gate . Cant wait for our next visit with the paynes & gough family .

Fantastic location with lovely walk just outside front door. Very comfortable with very high quality interiors and equipment. Highly recommended.
