Rooms sleep 2

Wake to circling red kites with a breathtaking backdrop of the Black Mountain. Every room has wonderful views, and Sue and Nick are warm and delightful hosts. Food is a passion here and you’ll enjoy homemade bread and jams, deep yellow eggs, organic veg and local lamb and pork; vegetarians are spoiled too – Sue is a brilliant cook. After dinner there’s snooker, a log fire, a cosy sofa; then a seriously comfy bed in a room with a lovely country-house feel. There are excellent walks in the valley, fly fishing on the Towy, Llyn y Fan fach in Brecon Beacons National Park; Aberglasney and the Botanic Gardens are nearby too.

We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The room was immaculate, the house was beautiful and the countryside was stunning. We were made to feel so welcome, and enjoyed some lovely conversation with our hosts over breakfast. Such wonderful hospitality.

This was my second stay, and so I wanted a longer one than previously! I stayed for a week, and left still wanting more. Mount Pleasant Farm has everything I hope for in a B and B; good bed, great food, stunning location and view. But best of all is the warmth of hospitality shown by Sue and Nick. They know how much their guests appreciate them; I hope you can find a way to give the recognition this very special place deserves.

A big comfortable bed with a lovely view. Well done Sawdays for finding this little gem of a remote hill farmhouse in a lovely part of Wales. The owners Nick and Sue look after guests with great hospitality and genuinely enjoy meeting the flow of guests through their spacious home. Tellingly, despite little advertising, guests return time and time again for the warmth of welcome and the fabulous food. Now we have found Mount Pleasant, so will we.

Even by Sawday's standards this is a special place to stay. Beautifully decorated and exquisitely comfortable room (Sue does interior decor and it shows), the breakfast is one of the finest ever. We ate in on our first night, and decided to do the same for the rest of our stay! Above all Sue and Nick are perfect hosts, warm, welcoming and wonderful company. We were made to feel like honoured guests. We have stayed in many wonderful Sawday's B&Bs, but this has to be up with the best.

A wonderful house in a beautiful location with the most welcoming of hosts. A lovely room with super-comfortable bed plus a delicious dinner and breakfast/s. Highly recommended.

Sue and Nick and Mount Pleasant Farm were a terrific find. We felt as if we were staying with friends from the moment we arrived. Sue cooked two fantastically delicious dinners. We had requested one but it was so wonderful we begged for a second! The view from our bedroom window was spectacular and everything was just comfortable and lovely. We had so much fun chatting about anything. We cannot recommend Mount Pleasant too highly and the surrounding are is beautiful. We will return and promise others they will not be disappointed.

Sue and Nick were fabulous and interesting hosts, the food was amazing, the room very comfortable, and the views from my room unbelievable. I stayed for 3 nights, and can't wait to go back; I have a list of things I still want to do!

Mount pleasant farm is absolute fabulous place to stay. Nick and Sue are brilliant hosts and Sue's cooking (you must stay for dinner!) is so good! We are totally relaxed. Paul + Liz

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing B&B. Nick and Sue are brilliant hosts and the welcome was warm and enthusiastic. Sue gave us dinner on our first night, excellent home reared lamb and yummy starter and pudding. Comfortable bed, spacious room, lovely bathroom and a beautiful view of the Black Mountains from our bedroom. The swifts were swooping around the house in the evening as we sat in the garden before supper. It was a truly lovely stay.

This is our 2nd visit to this brilliant b and b where you are truly guaranteed to have a wonderful experience in a stunning place. Sue will spoil you with her delicious evening meals over a glass or two of wine. You will not be disappointed and given we were 40 miles away from work each day says everything about this place. Can't wait to be back.
