The
Experience

The only thing that compares with the extraordinary views here is the care Christine takes of her guests. From tea and cake when you arrive to a sumptuous full Scottish breakfast replete with local goodies, you’re in safe hands. This modern wood-frame house is almost carbon neutral but there’s nothing Spartan about it – your bright, airy ground floor bedroom has underfloor heating and a pristine shower room. The private sitting room will take your breath away – full height windows display astonishing vistas of mountains and sea. For help and advice on where to go, Christine has all the answers. One day here is not enough.

Local points of interest from Christine Jenkins

  • This is a peaceful retreat for two people looking for a unique location for that special holiday. I offer luxurious facilities within spectacular surroundings and guests have exclusive use of the main lounge that has amazing views of the sea and mountains.
  • Skye is world famous for its stunning scenery and you will want to experience the popular areas of the Quiraing, Old Man of Storr and the Fairy Pools, but I can show you where to venture off the beaten track so you can see the island at its best.
  • Parts of Skye are becoming very busy and expensive, but South Skye is still an undiscovered gem. The B&B is very near the Eilean Iarmain, Kinloch Lodge and Duisdale House hotels, ideal for your evening meals, and we share fabulous sea and mountain views.
  • The bedroom has wonderful views over the water to the mountains and is light and airy and tastefully furnished with a super-king bed, hotel-quality linen, cosy dressing gowns and slippers, large soft towels and even a small whisky for you to taste!
  • I can help you make the most of your holiday by arranging boat trips, a visit to a distillery, outdoor activities, wildlife and photography tours and information on the geology and history of Skye. We are also in a 'dark sky' area - if the skies are clear
  • Gaelic is strong on Skye and Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, Scotland's Gaelic College, is nearby.  SEALL (Skye Events for All) runs events throughout the year, especially the Skye Festival in July/August, or visit the local Bar on a summer evening and join in!
