The
Experience

The peace is palpable, the setting overlooking the Cromarty Firth is stunning. Take an early morning stroll and spot buzzards, pheasants, rabbits and roe deer. The deceptively spacious house with sweeping maple floors is flooded with light and fabulous views, big bedrooms are warmly decorated with Highland rugs and tweeds, there’s Christine’s grand piano in the living room, Stuart’s handcrafted furniture at every turn, and a sweet dog called Bella. Aga breakfasts include homemade bread, preserves and eggs from happy hens; Christine and Stuart are wonderful hosts.

Reviews

An absolute gem of a place, Christine and Stuart have designed a superbly comfortable and stylish home. Our hosts Chris and Stuart welcomed us like friends and we thoroughly enjoyed our late night talks, Chris' piano playing and Stuart's woodwork The B&B is located close enough to Inverness to reach with ease, but far enough to give a sense of quiet and space.. Looking forward to returning soon... maybe for a woodwork course!

Miriam

This was a second visit for us, having previously stayed in May. As on the first occasion, we received a very warm welcome, the room and shower room were spotlessly clean, the breakfasts really set you up for the day, and there were great evening meals from Christine, all served with style by Stuart. Five star in every way!

Alison

A bright, clean, comfortable place to stay in a lovely part of Scotland. We were greeted with tea and cake in the beautiful conservatory. Enjoyed our room and the friendly hosts and a great dinner. Definitely worth a visit..

Kris

This was a very comfortable and easy stay - Chris and Stuart gave us a warm welcome (fitting us in as a family group of 7 quite happily) - the house is lovely, in a great position and very peaceful - well positioned for touring the area. You should definitely try one of Chris's dinners - for us it was one of the best meals of the week! All in all, we felt very much at home. Highly recommended.

Rebecca

Fantastic house and hosts. We were made so welcome by Christine and Stuart. The room was first class and the breakfast out of this world! Really amazing five star hotel masquerading as a B & B!
