Step from the terrace into a house full of creativity and colour. All on one floor, find cosy places to sit and relax in your deeply comfortable suite. Colin and Wendy (both keen gardeners) are warm souls. Their breakfasts and candlelit dinners include home-grown produce (strawberries, figs, raspberries, veg…) and they’re keen for you to feel at home. Outside is a stunning creation of perfect potagers, pathways and pots of lavender, wildflower meadows, secret areas and wisteria-clad walls; there’s a summer house too, while Indian Runner ducks, chickens, friendly spaniel and eccentric pigs, Esmerelda and Finlay, add to the relaxed vibe.

A very special place run by a charming couple. The Garden Suite is super comfortable and perfectly located for a holiday in the Dales or as a place to stopover on your way north or south. We had a delicious home-cooked dinner by candlelight in the Bothy, although we didn't do justice to the huge portions. The gardens are beautiful, even in the dead of winter, and you should definitely say hello to the very friendly pair of pigs! This is a wonderful place and we'll definitely be back.

The Granary Suite is the best B&B accommodation we have ever stayed at. The accommodation itself is superbly appointed with quality furniture and fittings and excellent decor. Wendy & Colin were lovely people and they made us very welcome and went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one. Breakfast was superb with hot and cold choices. We opted for a cooked 3 course meal each evening followed by coffee and chocolates selection taken in the Bothy (Garden Room) and Wendy's cooking was superb. The grounds and gardens were lovely. We will definitely visit here again.

Warm welcome by lovely hosts. Accommodation spotless and beautifully maintained. Wendy's cooking (breakfast and evening meals) would grace any table. Having access to the Bothy for relaxing and candlelight dinners was just the icing on the cake. Could not recommend highly enough.

The garden suite is a lovingly restored country chic annexe with a cheeky retro flourish. You could easily spend the first half hour or so thanking your good fortune for finding this little gem and ooh-ing and aa-ing over the little details and curios. Coming from the city, the best part for us was waking up on the Saturday morning after a long drive on Friday night and stepping out of the double French doors into the fresh air of a flower filled English country garden….and relax! Every last detail had been taken care of from thoughtful toiletries on demand to your morning juice served up in m

ABULOUS. We stayed with Wendy and Colin for one night on the August Bank Holiday weekend; this is an excellent place to stay with fantastic amenities, lovely gardens and two very welcoming hosts. Afternoon tea in the Bothy, home made scones fresh from the AGA on arrival! Next morning we had a sumptuous breakfast with home made jams and local produce. The property is not far from the main areas of the Northern part of the Yorkshire Dales with great walks on the doorstep and gastro pubs within a 15 minute drive. We hope to return one day, A very relaxing stay.

What a beautiful place. Wendy and Colin’s property provides very high standards of comfort and tranquillity, including a sitting room, large bedroom and bathroom and is set within a beautifully landscaped garden. Our hosts were warm, welcoming and attentive without being intrusive and mindful of our every need; providing useful information on the local area. Breakfast was a feast taken outside, in the sunshine under the wisteria clad property - like being in Provence. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Craggslane. Ideal for stopover en route North or South or for longer breaks.
