Rooms sleep 2

You feel as if you’re staying with an old friend here. Melanie’s cottage is small, intimate and full to brimming with colourful pieces from all over the world. Every picture and zany vintage find has a story. Sit by the fire in the sitting room with one of the many books, hop upstairs to your bedroom – the bathroom is shared. Breakfast is at a little table in the sitting room window: fruit salad, muesli, yogurt, croissants – or organic sausages and bacon from a nearby farm (extra charge). Richmond is perched above the river Swale on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales – heaps to do and it has the largest cobbled market place in England.
