The
Experience

Colourful gardens surround this comfortable house, and fantastic views of the Wiltshire downs, Wylye valley and a tall steeple stretch as far as the eye can see. Sim and Joy are well-travelled and friendly; their sunny sitting room, warmed by a wood-burner, is full of books, art and African treasures. Comfortable bedrooms are all downstairs: soft colours, posies of flowers, little shower rooms. In the kitchen or dining room is where you feast on a breakfast of eggs and fruits from the garden, homemade jams and home-grown tomatoes in season – they used to grow 300 acres of them in Africa! Bath and Salisbury are an easy hop.

Reviews

Very welcoming and lovely bedroom. Delicious breakfast

Miranda, Girona

Wonderful stay with interesting hosts Our ensuite room was very comfortable and we enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast. Our hosts are very charming, helpful and friendly and we loved walking around their large, beautiful and interesting gardens, full of roses, chickens and ducklings, vegetables and fruit for homemade jams. The extensive southfacing views were very relaxing in this quiet and rural area and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This was a very convenient location for Longleat.

Alan, Worthing

Very friendly host and wonderful breakfast. Nice house and the view into the countryside!
