Bed & Breakfast

On balmy summer evenings you can dine on organic veg from the garden under the rose and jasmine covered arbour. Peaceful, relaxing, friendly

Up a country lane is this hidden-away house which the delightful Legges have turned into a haven of peace. Liz loves fabrics and flowers and mixes them with flair, Colin has painted a mural for the conservatory, bright with plants and wicker sofa. Sunny bedrooms are traditional and colourful with  lovely views; the sitting room has a log fire, fine antiques, big comfy sofas, and the garden is so special it’s appeared in magazines. Home-grown organic veg and herbs and local seasonal food make an appearance at dinner which, on balmy nights, you may eat under the arbour, covered in climbing roses and jasmine.

We were warmly welcomed by Liz and Colin into their beautiful garden with a welcome cup of tea and big slices of ginger cake after a long day cycling. Their home and garden are lovely, the bedroom was comfortable and the breakfast delicious. A great place to stay.
