Ocklynge Manor

Our time here was exceptional. The house, our room, the garden, the friendly hospitality - we enjoyed 2 wonderful days at Wendys house. The lovely botanical garden offers also a small garden house for time to read and relaxation. Eastbourne and surrounding area itself offers much - restaurants are near by and we took an unforgettable long walk along the coast line and the "Seven sisters". We can highly recommend this accommodation and location. Many thanks to Wendy and David.

Without doubt the best B&B we have stayed in, and we have stayed in a great number. Wendy is the perfect host, the rooms are very tastefully fitted out, comprehensively equipped, immaculately clean and comfortable, the breakfast is delicious, there is private parking, a peaceful atmosphere and a delightful garden to relax in. This was our second stay and we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in the Eastbourne area.

We stayed at Ocklynge Manor for 3 nights, after attending Glyndebourne. The comfortable rooms, beautiful garden, and delicious breakfasts added up to a delightfully relaxing experience that we hope to repeat soon. Thank you, Wendy!

We were made so welcome at Ocklynge Manor and I really recommend it highly. A tray with tea and delicious homemade cake was brought to our room soon after we arrived and Wendy made every effort to make us feel at home. Our twin room was very comfortable and looked out over the amazing garden which the owners have created themselves. A really peaceful oasis, great breakfast and we look forward to returning the next time we are in Sussex.

We had a wonderful mini-break in Ocklynge Manor, our twin room was comfortable and had the bonus of overlooking the beautiful gardens. Good breakfast and I particularly recommend the homemade yogurt and fruit salad. The summer house overlooking the garden is lovely place to sit and contemplate.

A very comfortable room with lovely view of the garden and such nice people who made us feel very welcome . Delicious cooked breakfast and lots of choice of cereals, fruit , and everything else . A lovely sun room in the garden to sit in with amazing views of the garden. Very peaceful and quiet.

The atmosphere at Ocklynge Manor is relaxed and welcoming. Our room was absolutely lovely in all respects, and the garden is beautiful, an oasis of calm. As soon as we'd settled we found tea and delicious lemon cake waiting for us in the summerhouse. What a start to a two-night break in Eastbourne! Wendy does everything to make your stay at Ocklynge Manor a happy, memorable experience. Needless to say, breakfast is excellent, Wendy's home-made jams delicious! For us, the best B&B guest house we've ever stayed!

The Best B&B in Eastbourne. David and Wendy were the perfect hosts for a unique stay at their wonderful Manor House. There was absolutely nothing I could fault them on, the breakfast was amazing, homemade bread and jam together with the warmth of the log fire. The whole experience lead us to rebook in May this year!

All the superlatives apply here. An exceptionally warm welcome by Wendy set the tone quickly followed by delicious cake and tea served from a silver pot in an upstairs viewing lounge overlooking a splendid, quiet oasis of a garden. I've recently retired from providing 5* star accommodation myself, and I could not fault everything that Ocklynge has to offer. Without my asking, I was ferried to a restaurant for dinner and on the way Wendy did a 'recky' to ensure I was familiar with the location of my meeting. Ocklynge is beautifully furnished, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. A gem.
