A large, lush loft apartment in sleepy Suffolk; this uncluttered living space of blond wood, white walls and big windows has an urban feel yet overlooks glorious countryside. Secluded from the main house, in a timber-clad barn, all is fabulous and spacious: leather sofas, glass dining table, stainless steel kitchenette. Floor lights dance off the walls, surround-sound creates mood and you can watch the stars from your bed. Homemade granola, fruits, cold meats, cheeses and fresh pastries are popped in the fridge โ€“ bliss. There’s peace for romance, solitude for work, a garden to sit in and lovely Sue to suggest the best pubs.

After trawling the Internet, to find somewhere to stay for just one night, at a realistic price, we found The Old Manse Barn. It was just what we wanted. Quietly located, beautifully appointed yet only a few miles from Lavenham, where we were visiting a relative. Sue was so efficient when we were booking and catered for our non dairy requirements for breakfast. When we arrived we were not disappointed. The Barn has it's own parking place. Over looks the large garden. Inside is very light and airy. A delicious breakfast is in the fridge. Sue and Ian have created a perfect hide a way! Thank you!

The Old Manse Barn is a wonderful place to stay and my wife and I were very impressed with every aspect of the service provided. In a lovely area full of fascinating places Sue and Ian have established a beautifully modern self-contained apartment with lots of character. It is spotlessly clean and has every modern convenience. The continental breakfasts prepared by Sue were truly special and included home-made marmalade, jams and pastries along with eggs from her own hens. With plenty of wildlife around and a large garden to explore there is everything you need here for a relaxed stay. Superb.
