The Experience

Aly’s 16th-century longhouse is a feast of old beams, kilims, antiques and art. They give you homemade cake on arrival; relax in the garden or the guest lounge, kick off your shoes and enjoy a glass of wine by the log fire. Beamed bedrooms have period furnishings, goose down duvets, luxury linen, flowers and handmade chocolates; bathrooms have Molton Brown toiletries. Aly will also bring you tea in bed! Breakfast is in the garden room: cornbread toast, eggs from the hens, croissants and all sorts of cooked choices. Eye is an attractive old market town; Southwold, Bury St Edmunds and Snape Maltings are all close.

Reviews

We have just returned from a lovely few days in Suffolk, staying at Camomile Cottage. Our batteries fully recharged, great breakfasts! comfy lounge to use in the evenings, and we were very well looked after. Would thoroughly recommend, thank you Aly.

Pat, Hertfordshire

My husband and I have just spent a couple of nights at Camomile Cottage and we couldn't have found a lovelier place to stay. From our initial really friendly contacts with Aly; the warm welcome on arrival; the delightful decor and fascinating knick-knacks in the cottage; the delicious breakfasts and the comfy beds and pillows, we were more than happy in every respect. I'm sure we will be back there one day soon.

Joanne, Hampton Hill

I don't normally write reviews but as we all had such a fantastic time I felt impelled to! Camomile Cottage is an incredible place to stay, Aly and Tim give you such a warm welcome and have found the perfect balance of making your stay homely and cosy, whilst giving guests their privacy. Aly and Tim have made the perfect country B&B, a cottage full of character, tastefully decorated to really accentuate it's homeliness. The breakfasts are delicious and the homemade cake on arrival is just genius. We had such a special stay, I only wish I could have stayed for longer. Thank you Aly and Tim!

Liz, London

Extraordinary mixture of unfussed excellence, combined with a warm welcome, beautiful cottage and outstanding breakfasts. The area is rich with wide skies, lovely countryside but close to places of interest and culture. Hosts Aly and Tim , always helpful, will steer you towards the very best of British pubs and make you feel entirely at home. An outstanding B and B even by Sawday's high standards - the best of the best.

This place is exceptional and has the most pleasant and welcoming hosts to make your stay beyond special. We were treated to the sort of welcome you give family and friends and were directed to excellent days out with the addition of some fabulous bookings and recommendations to local pubs. This resulted in the short time we had being full of excellent experiences containing History , culture and just FUN. We saw hares and owls - as promised and a visit to Southwold is a must. Aly and Time deserve ALL the credit they receive and our visit is one that will stay in the mind for a very long time
