The
Experience

Past the church, up through the pretty village, to Andrew and Rachel’s relaxed eco-friendly house. Through your own doorway, find a smart bedroom with tip-top linen, TV, a basket of books, French windows onto patios – perfect for an evening glass of wine – and a sleek bathroom with thick white towels. Wake for bacon and sausages from the Potting Shed Farm Shop, eggy bread, local jams. Walton Brook runs through the garden, a visiting pair of ducks can be spotted on the pond, and you can walk through ancient woodland to join the coastal path to Clevedon. Close to Portishead and only 25 minutes from Bristol. A leafy retreat.

Reviews

Very friendly hosts who make you feel at home. Rooms beautifully decorated. Delicious breakfast. We really enjoyed staying there and the area is beautiful, especially Clevedon sea front...

Laurence, Libourne

One word sums up our stay at Taggart House; contentment. From its comfy bedroom, underfloor-heated bathroom to the view from the doors leading out into the garden (albeit in pretty grotty weather) we had the most contended of stays. A varied and delicious breakfast made a great start to each morning and Rachel & Andrew were charming, interesting and gracious hosts. Would love to stay in the Spring and be woken by what I am sure would be a wonderful cacophony from the Dawn Chorus – the birdsong, even in dreary February, was pretty good!

Lucy, Chagford

A fantastic stay - beautiful room, just-right level of attention from hosts and lip-smacking breakfast to get you out of bed!
