The
Experience

Through a pastoral landscape, past green paddocks and fine thoroughbreds, to a beautiful longhouse set in pretty secluded gardens surrounded by 130 acres. Its heart dates back to 1436 and its renovation is remarkable, highlighting beamed ceilings, Jacobean panelling and open fireplaces. Louise and David, brimful of enthusiasm for both house and visitors, give you four exquisite bedrooms in French country style, one with its own sitting room – very romantic. You’re bang in between the north and the south coasts – after a happy day exploring, return to great leather sofas and a wood-burning stove. Guests love it here!

Reviews

Superb & faultless. Spent two nights as a family in the Orchard Suite which is ideal for families. Wonderful accommodation, great breakfasts and friendly hosts. Good local pubs for evening meals. Accommodation within striking distance of Lyme Regis, Wells, at least three National Trust properties etc. Lovely quiet spot.

We stayed in the family suite on the way home from a weekend away in South Devon. All of our rooms were fantastic and incredibly spacious! Extremely welcoming hosts, full of helpful advice (and honest opinions), who made this a very relaxing stay. Great breakfast at the communal table, where everyone was lovely to both our primary school children. Super place to stay in a beautiful part of the world, with loads of things to do / places to see within a short drive. Definitely plan to return (but without the children next time!).

A little bit of heaven! We absolutely loved this place - a perfect stop off en route from London to Cornwall for us and our 2 boys. Fabulous Orchard family suite which was huge and so luxurious. Louise and David were so helpful and friendly, booking us a meal at a lovely local pub and lighting the fire in the comfortable lounge for our return. Breakfast was superb, setting us up for the day's travelling ahead and the location not far off the M5 but with beautiful views of green fields and horses was perfect! Would absolutely recommend to everybody. Heaven
