The food, the views – amazing! Tim is a passionate cook, and he and Sarah want you to enjoy their friendly open house. Settle in with tea and Tim’s high-rise scones and look out over Seaborough Hill. Their 1960s bungalow is immaculate: white walls, gleaming oak floors, toasty wood-burner and French windows onto the garden. Perfect bedrooms have inviting beds and pots of sweet peas; bathrooms sparkle. Pad through to breakfast in the airy sitting/dining room – or out on the sunny deck: eggs from across the valley, smoked salmon, homemade bread, granola and jams; dinner is equally good with organic local veg and charcuterie. A treat!

Sarah and Tim are welcoming and kind. Delicious food, comfortable modern bedroom, fabulous views. Fairways is to be highly recommended. Will be returning!!! 10 out of 10

Adrian, Wimborne

One word - EXCELLENT.

Pauline, Badby

This was our second visit to Fairways. We were greeted by Sarah and Tim on arrival and were given a lovely afternoon tea. The room we stayed in had everything we could wish for. The comfy bed, the silk filled duvet and a good supply of toiletries in the super bathroom. We had dinner and Tim's cooking is extra special. We were able to sit in the guest dining room for as long as we wanted. All in all a very enjoyable stay. We shall certainly return.

Marion, Bromley

This b&b is really exceptional. Tim and Sarah's attention to detail and comfort makes your stay so enjoyable it is difficult to leave! The bedrooms are beautifully furnished with comfy beds, beautiful linen, silk filled duvets. The bath room is spotless with plenty of hot water and fluffy towels and bath robes- just like a 5 star hotel. Tim cooks the most wonderful suppers and breakfasts- not forgetting the cream tea on your arrival- what more could you ask for? This is our second visit this time with an elderly father who thought everything was 'just marvellous'!

Cathy, Chichester

Our fourth visit to the best bed and breakfast experience ever. Tim and Sarah, the most welcoming and warmest of hosts, have created a perfect place to stay in a lovely area of Somerset. Ensuite rooms are immaculate and luxurious with super comfortable beds and thick, fluffy towels and there is a comfortable lounge and terrace with lovely views. Breakfasts are delicious and Tim, who is an imaginative and creative chef, will produce wondrous three course suppers if you ask. Do check their website for photos, imaginatively prepared and presented.

Margaret, Northampton

Fairways must be one of the best bed and breakfast establishments that we have visited. Tim and Sarah are most welcoming hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. Fairways is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We booked dinner for the first night and were so impressed with the food that Tim prepared we had dinner again on our second night, which was once again perfect. We will definitely visit Fairways again when we are in the area.

Bruce, Norwich

A huge thumbs up - 11 out of 10! - Tim and Sarah go out of their way to cosset you from the moment you arrive to the time when you tear yourself away. They have designed your experience with great care leaving nothing out - the rooms are immaculate and scrupulously clean, the food is as per the website - excellent - and the situation quiet with lovely views. If in this area again - we will most certainly return to Fairways. Thanks you Tim and Sarah for a lovely stay!

Robin, Reading

Ultimate tranquility. Charming and thoughtful hosts. Crosswords books with pencils; binoculars for the birdlife; sumptuous silk duvets; comprehensive information leaflets about local attractions; fast Wi-Fi connection; fresh milk for early morning tea; a wide range of seating alternatives on the deck and comfortable chairs and sofas in the guest lounge all contributed to a very memorable stay. Then there was Tim’s food. His breakfasts cater for every conceivable taste and the optional evening meal was a triumph. We cannot recommend this B&B too highly. Thank you Sarah and Tim.

Adrian, Somerton

We were so lucky to find this wonderful b/b run by Tim and Sarah from the moment we arrived the warm scones, clotted cream and tea were so welcoming. It was the best we had ever stayed in the comfort of the bed, pillows, bathrobes and beautiful setting, we had a very relaxing 3 night stay. Fantastic breakfasts we enjoyed every minute of our stay and will recommend it to others. We shall be back next year. Regards Anne and James Windle - Dingle Peninsula, Co Kerry

Anne, Dingle

Thank you Tim and Sarah for another fabulous stay. The bed is so comfortable, the facilities excellent, the little touches very thoughtful and oh, oh, oh the breakfast and tea. So good. We really enjoyed talking to you both and thank you so much for the lift into town. Devotion over and above the call of duty.

Sles, Portsmouth

This is the perfect B & B, outstanding attention to every detail. Delightful hosts make you feel so welcome, feels like you are staying with friends. The food was fantastic, and it is a lovely part of England. We enjoyed visiting local National Trust properties, then sitting and relaxing on the decking at Fairways drinking tea and eating scones.

Our second visit . Absolutely perfect in every respect . Faultless attention to detail with regard to Tim and Sara's hospitality and dining. They are so passionate about providing there guests with the best possible experience. We cannot wait for another return visit.

An absolutely perfect place to stay in Somerset. You won't find a better B&B in Somerset, I'm sure about that! Every detail is covered and the food is wonderful, as are the hosts, Sarah and Tim. Wonderful rooms, luxury bathrooms, a super guest lounge and the best countryside view you could ask for. Nothing was too much trouble for Sarah & Tim, catering for slightly unconventional vegan, raw and coeliac diets - they were amazing in accommodating our requests. Very highly recommend Fairways and everything it has to offer!

2 delightful nights at Fairways. All the accommodation is beautifully designed and immaculately kept. The bedrooms and sitting/dining room have everything you could ever want - even including a fridge for our "bring your own" wine. The breakfasts were top notch and suppers were of fine dining standard and generous at the same time. Plus there's fabulous view over the garden to the hills in the distance as you eat. But most of all Sarah and Tim are just great hosts. Welcoming, friendly they take the time to make sure that everything's OK. Tim is the chef and made the dishes that we loved. Go!

We have used Sawdays for about fifteen years staying a lots of wonderful B&B's all over the country but Fairways goes straight to the top of our top ten. It is truly wonderful ,Sarah and Tim have thought of everything to make your stay a five star home from home. There attention to detail , beautiful rooms immaculately clean , scrummy breakfast and delicious evening meals. And just wonderful friendly hospitality. Excellent, excellent. We will be back for more.

We chose this guesthouse primarily for its location near some attractions we wanted to visit but we couldn't have been more delighted with the warm welcome, the house, our room, the breakfast, the views and the recommendations we received. We'd love to go again.

Sarah and Tim go out of their way to make you feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble, from the home baked scones and tea when we arrived to advising us on places nearby to eat in the evening. Leave plenty of room for the tremendous breakfast enjoyed from the guest lounge/dining room with far reaching views of the Somerset countryside. Great as a destination in its self or as a stopover enroute. We'll be back!

There's only one word for Tim & Sarah's hospitality ....."FABULOUS". This is the best B&B in the UK from our experience; superb accommodation, lovely location, outstanding breakfasts and delightful hosts. Highly recommended for a luxurious and relaxed break!

When we booked at Fairways we thought it would be a nice place, as well as being convenient to family. Well, it was so fabulous we almost didn't want to leave, even to see family!!! Everything the other guests have said is true, only more so! I can't wait until we are next in England, as we will certainly plan to stay at Fairways again, only next time we will stay longer. Tim and Sarah, thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us.

Absolutely beautiful place with excellent hosts. Sarah and Tim know how to spoil their guests. I can only reccomend Fairways B&B.

  • Have a look at our video on our website. It was filmed about 5 years ago and there have been one or two changes ... currently Tim doesn't have a beard owing to an oops moment when he was clipping it! We're still loving running B&B as much as we did then.
  • Fancy a day at the seaside? Lyme Regis on Dorset's Jurassic Coast is just a 25-minute drive! Great food and great fun. Walk along the Cobb and watch teams of energetic folks gig rowing on a Sunday morning. Bridport and West Bay are also within easy reach.
  • National Trust properties and gardens Barrington Court, Lytes Cary Manor, Montacute House, Tintinhull and Stourhead are not too far away. Perfect if you want to mosey around at your own pace and gather a few mementos in the famous National Trust Shops!
  • The Haynes International Motor Museum at Sparkford near Yeovil, just off the A303 is a truly fantastic trip down memory lane, whether or not you're into vintage cars. Remember your old car of the 1960s? It's probably there, looking very bright and shiny!
  • Fairways is a place to relax. We're more than happy to fit in with your plans. Many of our guests have said how successful booking both of our 2 bedrooms has been for a house-party. You have your own private sitting room and we'll cater for you! Perfect!
  • Here on the 3rd Saturday of the month? Walk 15 minutes down into Crewkerne to the Farmers' Market. You'll find cheeses, a wonderful potter, fresh fish, apple juice, jams and chutneys and much more. Nip into Waitrose for a bottle of wine to sip at sundown!
