The neighbourhood

Local points of interest from Suzannah & Marcus Edwards-Jones

  • Southwell Minster and The Workhouse are worth a visit. Other National Trust & Dukeries properties are within 30 minutes including Clumber, Rufford, Newstead Abbey and Welbeck. Further afield are Easton Walled Gardens and Heckington Windmill.
  • Almost halfway between London and the North, we are a perfect overnight stopover with a cosy pub a few minutes walk away or finer dining 2 miles away.
  • The Newark showground hosts the largest antique market in Europe and Fire & Earth Ceramics is a new local event.

  • Or stay and relax in style in the hall in Willoughby House and sink into any of our numerous books and magazines. We'll light the fire for you.
