The Old Barn, Kidlandlee

This is our second visit to Kidlandlee and we invited some friends to join us this year. The accommodation is superb and the views from the cottage are spectacular. We were lucky enough to even see the Aurora last night. Walks from the cottage are amazing and are easy to access straight from the door.

We have had another wonderful break at Kidlandlee. As always the old barn was clean, comfortable and very well maintained. We have stayed in most of the cottages now and they are all well equipped and have everything you need for a self catering holiday plus the little extra touches in the luxury welcome pack. Matthew, Terri and the team work extremely hard to go the extra mile and it shows. Once you visit Kidlandlee you won’t want to leave but you will definitely be back. It’s an amazing place.

We were excited about our visit to The Old Barn at Kidlandlee & it didn’t disappoint. Every detail has been thought of. The accommodation is stylishly done, incredibly well equipped & very comfortable. For those holidaying with dogs, it is perfect. There is a large, enclosed garden with stunning views and some amazing walks from the cottage itself or from Harbottle or Alnwick. We holiday in the UK frequently as we enjoy holidaying with our two Labradors and this is the best dog friendly accommodation we’ve stayed in. We can’t recommend it highly enough and we will definitely be back.

Our second stay in the Old Barn, it was every bit better than the first. This is 5 Star Accommodation, in a 5 Star location! The cottage is immaculate and deceptively spacious, and it has everything you need for a self catering holiday, all the mod cons….A lovely welcome pack to get you started, and the essentials too. If you want a quiet peaceful holiday in stunningly beautiful surroundings, this is the place for you, we would highly recommend it, and you also have the places to visit in Northumberland, should you want to travel a bit. Terri & Mathew are great hosts, and nothings a bother.

Blissful location and stunning accommodation. We loved the social layout of kitchen/living room. Powerful hot shower, loads of wood for the woodburner and lots of lovely touches. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Wow, what an amazing place you have here. We are absolutely blown away with everything. There is nothing you haven't thought of. The treats just keep on giving and the attention to detail is like nothing we've experienced before. We have been on many luxury holidays, home and away, but we are just in awe at what you are doing her at Kidlandlee. Your story is heartwarming too. We're a couple of animal, outdoor, nature loving...folk, so to be here experiencing first hand your amazing efforts is a real treat for us. Thank you for everything, it is absolute bliss to be here

A beautiful escape in the glorious Cheviot hills. The gravel approach track may be a bit of a grind, but its a price well worth paying for the peace and quiet, the views, and the door-step access to long walks that you get from Kidlandlee. Not to mention the comfort of a warm, spacious and extremely well appointed and equipped cottage. The finish exudes quality and entire cottage was spotless on our arrival. Kidlandlee is remote, but that is a good part of the attraction. Nonetheless Rothbury, Alnwick and the fabulous Northumberland coast are all within 30-60 mins drive. Highly recommended.

A beautifully equipped and furnished cottage in the most stunning location - perfect for walking, cycling, exploring the beautiful Northumberland National Park, or somewhere just to chill, sit and look at the views!
