The pale blue-painted front door sets the tone for this large, lofty and airy home with smart hotel-standard rooms at a fraction of the price. The furniture is excellent: fine family pieces and Liz’s handsome finds. There is a conservatory for continental breakfast overlooking the garden, a delightful Parson Russell dog and art everywhere. Liz, a former fashion pattern cutter and dancer, is a natural and lovely hostess. The Roost is brilliantly positioned for whizzing into town, transport links are easy, there is lovely Queens park, an irresistible bakery, great pubs, restaurants and a farmers’ market on Sundays. Marvellous.

Lovely cosy b&b. Spacious ground floor room with ensuite bathroom. Liz was so welcoming and helpful she made us feel completely at home. Excellent breakfasts. Jazzy ( Liz's dog) was a delight. She welcomed us when we came back of an evening, bringing us her ball to throw. We had two really good nights sleep, the bed was easily the most comfortable bed I've slept in while traveling. We would thoroughly recommend The Roost to anyone visiting London. Excellent tube and overland trains just a few minutes walk away. Queens Park is a real gem and the roads near The Roost have many good places to eat

I have visited The Roost now on at least a dozen times over the last few years and always had very good service from Liz the owner. With many places they become tired and run down after time but The Roost this has never happened in fact it has become better. There are now free toiletries and the breakfast has become better and more varied. If visiting London it is great place to be located with its good accessibility to everywhere I highly recommend The Roost

John, Zurich

excellent room & bathroom - quiet with comfortable bed - in an attractive area of London. Liz Crosland is the perfect host

Peter, Coalville

We stayed at The Roost for 3 nights in September. Located in a quiet street and within easy walking distance of eateries and transport stops/stations, 3 stops from Euston on the Overground, we had a lovely en-suite room and wanted for nothing. Clean, fresh and immaculately furnished the room had a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was just to our taste, continental, with fruit, croissants and toast with plenty of hot coffee. We had a great time and would recommend it to anyone who wants comfort and convenience in lovely surroundings looked after by a consumate host. We are planning our return.

Rob, Shrewsbury

Having been to the Roost on many occasions over the last three years, Liz has maintained a continuously high standard of hospitality and it is a pleasure to revisit. Jazzy is a bundle of fun and there is always a wonderful atmosphere, I would recommend staying at the Roost as it is a great place to be based when in London

John, Zurich

John, Sheerness

We have just stayed with Liz for the second time. Her house is beautiful, and exceptionally comfortable. Liz makes you so welcome, and she and her lovely dog Jezzie are super company. Queens Park is a great place with good restaurants, bars and coffee shops, and very easy access to the centre of London. We will be back!

Liz and her dog Jessie made our stay at the Roost most welcoming. The room was very quiet, neat and comfortable.

The Roost is a pool of tranquility in an ideal location for seeing all London has to offer. The rooms are well-appointed, beautifully decorated and Liz is a charming hostess with great insider knowledge of the best local bars, restaurants and attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be going back next time we are in London.

A real home from home. The location couldn't be better, with easy access to tube station and a great selection of places to eat just minutes away, so close to central London, yet so peaceful. Comfy rooms, well appointed, and a good breakfast. A really friendly welcome, Liz gives advice on how to get around and recommendations on where to eat. A perfect b and b!

Over the past few months. I stayed at the Roost regularly Liz is thoughtful and delightful host, the accommodation is superb, as is the location, I can wholeheartedly recommend The Roost

it was a delightful stay at the Roost B&B, lovely rooms, very well looked after, and great Transport Connections a place to recommend to stay when in London Rudi M / Germany

Queens Park is a little green haven and the Roost beats any hotel! Liz and Jazzy make you so welcome and there are brilliant bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Can't wait to return.

Finnaly we have found a great Place to stay in London. Liz is a great hoste, the rooms beautiful, the beds are very Nice and we loved Jazz the dog. We can recomend it highly

Liz provided us with a gorgeous haven before we flew out of London. The Loft room was spacious and bright and breezy even on a hot London day. Everything is spotless, roomy and tasteful. Very comfy bed. This B&B is a fantastic value and Liz was great about fixing us a tasty early breakfast. Loved the dog and the neighborhood. Very convenient and quiet. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

This is the 4th time we have stayed at The Roost, which shows how much we value it. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the whole house very stylish. Beds are extremely comfortable and bathrooms immaculate. Liz could not be a more friendly and helpful hostess, providing a breakfast of lots of fresh coffee, tea, croissants, toast etc. The tube is 5 minutes away and there are lots of excellent eating places close by.

The room & ensuite bathroom were immaculate, the continental breakfast was served in a beautiful conservatory & the hostess Liz couldn't have been more helpful/delightful. I would definitely stay here again.

Elegance and discernment. Plush accommodation in a beautifully restored Victorian home. Luxurious carpeting, crisp linen, pristine bathrooms and fresbly baked croissants. All this in the heart of London's best kept secret, Queenspark. A two minute walk to the Queenspark station where one can get into the centre of London in a heartbeat. The Bakerloo line awaits. And also the overground with its brand new trains ready to whizz you to neighbouring areas. The hostess is a welcoming lady with fine taste. Loved it!!!

A spectacular property offering very comfortable accommodation beautifully appointed with antiques. The owner was charming and helpful making the stay most enjoyable

We, my sister, my brother and I stayed at The Roost for 3 nights and we loved it so much! Liz, the hostess, is so nice and made us feel so much at home! The rooms were beautiful, very clean and spacious! The Roost is only a five minutes walking distance away from the subway. Within 20 minutes you are in the heart of London! We really loved our stay with Liz and her lovely dog Jazzy!!!

The neighbourhood

Local points of interest from Liz Crosland

  • Queens Park ‘village’ hosts a delightful choice of cafés, restaurants and wine bars, including a traditional fish and chip shop. A relaxing area to come back to after a busy day out. Transport facilities are excellent.
  • Portobello Road for antiques and flea market (weekends), Westbourne Grove and Notting Hill for high end boutiques, glamour and restaurants. Camden Town for markets, fast food, high octane fun, grunge and tattoos!
  • The Royal Botantical Gardens at Kew. Spend a day at this amazing garden of international renown and beauty. Lectures, exhibitions and concerts are held throughout the year. Restaurant/cafe on site or you can take a picnic.
  • The Tricycle Theatre is a ten-minute walk away. Productions are of a very high standard - some continue on to the West End. They have their own cinema, cafe and gallery. Our other local independent cinema is the Lexi - who support African charities.
  • Scottie Wilson, a self taught artist who is widely known and his work is exhibited all over the world and much sought after. An eccentric who lived here in Queens Park, in our home, for fourteen years!
  • I have to mention Theatre Land, my passion! Aside from mainstream shows, Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, Ronnie Scotts etc... find a plethora of talent to suit all tastes and pockets from pub gigs and fringe theatre to concerts/plays in parks.
