The
Experience

In a quiet street facing the Chelsea Arts Club is an enticing, contemporary haven. Softly spoken Nina is passionate about the arts, knows Chelsea inside out and takes real pleasure in looking after her guests. Antique shop spoils stand alongside more modern delights, the attention to detail is amazing and there are plentiful bunches of flowers. A lush carpet takes you up to the second floor and your super-private, surprisingly peaceful and deliciously designed bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast – fruit platters, yogurt and croissants – is shared with Nina in the kitchen. We love No. 90 – and the little black poodles!

Reviews

Fabulous place, a rare find in London, in one of the best locations. Bedrooms are immaculate and very clean as is the rest of the house. Gorgeous garden out back & as with everything Nina does it is well taken care of.

Suzanne

Peace and quiet in an ideal location in Chelsea. Nina is a wonderful hostess who gave us great guidance to plan our stay. Healthy breakfast by the delightful garden, excellent clean and well appointed room we will hope to return soon.

Richard

A hidden gem. Wonderful location, beautiful room & amazing breakfast. Simply perfect

Ginny

Great location tucked away in Chelsea. Tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean bedroom and en-suite bathroom (complimentary water and tea making facilities), and a very kind and helpful owner. Highly recommended.

Location

The neighbourhood

Local points of interest from Nina Holland

  • Old Church Street is the ideal base for your London stay. Number 90, black door, no number on it, is in one of the best residential areas. The tube and buses are close by so it is easy and quick to get to anywhere else in London
  • South Kensington tube will take you to Heathrow Airport in 60 minutes, the London Eye in 30 minutes and the Tower of London in 40 minutes. Buses are direct to Soho, Covent Garden, Westminster, St Pauls, the British Museum and so many other places
  • The local neighbourhood has much to offer, stroll to the Chelsea Physic garden via The Old Church and Tite Street, home to many famous, former residents including Oscar Wilde, Augustus John and Whistler. Visit Carlyle's House and Leighton House Museum
  • The arts are just around the corner too, a fifteen minute walk will take you to The Royal Court Theatre (showcases new plays) Cadogan Hall, with a great choice of wonderful concerts, The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal College of Music and the Saatchi Gallery
  • Walk or jog to Marble Arch via Kensington Park Gardens, stop off at Kensington Palace State Apartments and take in the Serpentine Gallery on the way.
  • Interior Design shops and restaurants surround Old Church Street and the famous Flower Stand has been standing on its corner for a quarter of a century. While sipping coffee in one of the many local cafes, you may even see a red coated Chelsea Pensioner
