A striking lakeside house on an eco holiday estate in 500 Cotswolds’ nature-rich acres - bring the bikes! One massive treat for families...

On a 500-acre nature reserve in the Cotswold Water Park, criss-crossed by miles of child-friendly cycle paths, is a strikingly contemporary holiday estate. This lakeside house, built to sleep ten and flooded with light, is immaculately presented in pale woods, sweeping glass, crisp lines and neutral colours. The focal point of the estate is the lake, of which the first-floor’s living area has a bird’s-eye view – bliss to recline on balcony or decking and absorb the watery arena! A smart sweep of sofa fronts the wood-burning stove, a wing of azure delineates the kitchen, a scattering of prints, books and magazines makes you feel at home. Three bedrooms are downstairs; the cosy master room is on the second floor, with a splendid view; the bunk room lies peacefully at the back, designed with children in mind. Membership of the ArtSpa is yours (gym, sauna, steam room, three pools), there are beavers in the lake, a pub you can walk to, a weekend shop… the owners live close by and will happily advise. Absolutely brilliant for nature-loving families. Bring the bikes.
