A bright, airy, Arts & Crafts house just made for seaside socialising. Although narrow and steep in places, the kitchen with its long table is grand for gathering over morning coffee or cooking for a crowd with a bottle or two. Keen foodies will be up with the lark and off to the harbour to bag the freshest catch but the star of the show will still be the mesmerising views through the bay window.
Swim from the shingled beach below you or a sandy one a few hundred yards along, there’s a water sports centre a stroll away for sailing and paddle boarding, or you can shell out for a deep-sea fishing trip. The less lively can idle on the sofa with a book or simply gaze out of the mullion windows.
You’ll be warmed through by the Aga in winter, and when the waves hurl themselves right over The Cobb it’s cosy to light the wood-burner, get out a board game and watch the weather drama unfurl from the inside. Drift off in fresh, big bedrooms to the murmur of shifting shingle.
