The
Experience
Wind through pretty Wetton, park under the big tree and find a front door with a cheery bell and a box of slippers waiting the other side. You’re looked after well and the house has a convivial air. Bedrooms have well-dressed beds; the dining room encourages you to linger: flowers, garden views, open fire, books and maps. Nicky gives you lots of breakfast choices including eggs from the hens and homemade jams from her organic plot. There are benches for sitting outside on sunny days, the colourful garden is full of birds and The White Peak is on the doorstep – Nicky, super-friendly and a keen walker, will happily direct you.

A warm welcome from Nicky after a long drive! In such a lovely location, the house is spacious and comfortable, the breakfasts magnificent! We walked across the fields to the pub and didn't want to leave. Hope to be back - soon. We always use Sawdays - this is a cracker.

We recently had a lovely anniversary break at The Old Vicarage. It's a beautiful property and great hospitality from Nicky who made us feel completely at home, relaxed and well looked after. Little touches like homemade cake, bread and lots of local knowledge and information made it all the more enjoyable. Can't wait to visit again!

We found the Old Vicarage exactly as your comments, very comfortable, super breakfasts. We are not walkers but enjoy the country and found Wetton to be an ideal place to tour the Peak District. Very recommendable.

As we always try to book Sawdays if we can when visiting anywhere we were absolutely delighted with the Old vicarage and the owner Nicky. She could not have been more helpful. Her breakfasts , homemade cakes, bread and jams were delicious and she had thought of everything to make your visit a success. The Vicarage is set in a beautiful valley in a small village and is ideal for both walking and visiting Chatsworth etc. We will definitely try to visit again soon
