The
Experience

Follow the track to find a historic farmyard and two converted barns, surrounded by an orchard and paddock from which there are endless views. All is fresh and gleaming with a roll top bath, gorgeous natural soaps and posh coffee pods – best enjoyed on your private patio.

There’s plenty of outside space for bikes, surf boards and wet suits, and a cosy wood-burner inside stocked with logs to recover next to. Start the day in a luxurious bathroom, while away a morning at Loe beach, or enjoy a round of golf on the lovely Killiow course just next door.

Generous Frances leaves Cornish goodies for your arrival, homemade cakes or scones, fresh flowers, even the Sunday papers. She can also arrange spa treatments to come to you.

Reviews

We absolutely loved Skylarks and the surrounding area. It's a great base to discover so much of what Cornwall has to offer. The cottage itself is immaculate, well equipped and cosy and easily big enough for 2 people to live there comfortably. We really appreciated the home made scones when we arrived as well as the bread, butter, eggs, cream and jam Frances left for us. Having the Sunday papers delivered by Frances is a treat as are the fresh flowers. Would wholly recommend the cottage for a lovely break.

Di, Harpenden

We have just returned from this delightful barn (Skylarks), Frances was there to greet us when we arrived and had been busy baking scones and cakes. We have had a wonderful time and wanted for nothing, plenty to see as Truro is on your doorstep. The barn is well equipped, clean and very cosy a real home from home, there is so much to see and do with wonderful beaches within easy reach.

Clare, Bridgend

We had a fabulous week at Skylarks, furnished to a very high standard and superbly situated for both south and north cornwall. Would highly recommend.

Michelle

Much more spacious than photos suggest; very comfortably and well furnished/equipped. superb location with especially quick and easy acces to many locations on the Fal estuary. Frances is a charming hostess who made us feel very welcome = especially with the selection of goodies on arrival. The never ending supply of logs for the woodburning stove made our 4 nights stay very relaxing. We will certainly return and tell all our friends .

Introducing

Frances Grant

Frances and Steve Grant converted the local stone and slate tiled barns from 19th-century stables and farm buildings in 2010. They were fascinated by the history of Bolotho Farm which is part of the Killiow estate and dates back to the 6th century, and loved the tranquil spot – and the local deer that wander the estate. Passionate about the area they are big advocates of Cornish produce and keen to give you tips on good pubs, restaurants and stuff to do.
