The
Experience

In beachy St Ives three sweet fisherman’s cottages have trendy interiors. Blue Moon and Moon Shadow sit next to each other on the coast road (busy in summer) but you’re a minute’s walk from the beach in a thriving arty area. Wooden steps lead up to slate and granite buildings, step into an open-plan kitchen/living area with comfy sofas, cushions and throws for lounging, large monochrome prints on the walls and lots of stainless steel wrapped around wood. Up narrow stairs to huge beds under vaulted ceilings and super-swish bathrooms. Tiny kitchens have everything you need cleverly slotted in and a breakfast bar and stools for meal times. Nearby Black Moon is the jewel in the crown and sits right on Bamaluz beach: French doors fling open to gaze out to sea, mirrors make the space feel bigger and the living room has a glass floor – go through the trap-door and down to a granite-clad sprawling area with a window to watch the waves crashing. A Moroccan style bath and contemporary electric fire adds to the ultra-modern feel. Romantic boltholes in fabulous locations near cool bars and restaurants. And you get a parking space!

Local points of interest from Alex Chalmer

  • On the edge of St.Ives bay lies the West Country Golf club. This stunning seaside course was built in 1889, and still stands as one of the finest around.
  • For those who love the thrill of adventure and activity, we highly recommend you hop in an air balloon and soar the skies of the South West.
  • Cornwall is full of excellent local produce and there are plenty of places that both celebrate and transform it into unforgettable food. Our current favourites in St Ives are the cocktails at Alba and the Beetroot Gnocchi at The Black Rock.
  • No trip to the coast is complete without a little ocean adventure! If the weather’s not playing up, we highly recommend keeping a day or afternoon spare to hit the waves! Give us a call to arrange this for you.
  • We work with local therapist Sarah Lund who delivers her treatments in our Beachspoke properties allowing you to fully unwind in the comfort of the cottage. She will bring everything with her, towels, oils, ambient music and special bed.
  • For a town of its size St Ives is blessed with an inordinate amount of beaches. There are 4 main beaches within walking distance of the town, each with a different character.
