St Martin, Guernsey
Bed & Breakfast

A homely base to explore Guernsey's south coast walks, beaches and restaurants – by foot or bike. Breakfast outside with stunning sea views

3 rooms

Rooms sleep 2

Maggie’s house – the most southern on Guernsey – comes with enormous sea views: Herm and Sark glistening in the water under a vast sky, framed by a pretty front garden. The breakfast terrace is hard to beat. Find sofas in the conservatory, entertaining stories from Maggie and Francis, fabulous walks, a beach for picnics. The house started life as HQ for French pilots in WWI; these days warm, rustic interiors make for a great island base. It’s not grand, just very welcoming with rooms that hit the spot: bathrobes, super showers, fresh flowers. Use the bikes (or hire locally) then spin up the lane to a top island restaurant. Brilliant.

The studio is lovely with everything you need for a relaxing break and the view of the cliffs and sea outstanding. Maggie & Francis are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Maggie' breakfasts are delicious, definitely set you up for the day! A wonderful Island to explore either on food, by car or cycling and many interesting places to visit! The choice of restaurants to choose from are numerous and every meal we had was exceptional. We would highly recommend Seabreeze and it would be a challenge to find better hosts.

Sawdays gives me 600 words to give feedback. I need just one: fabulous. The hospitality, the breakfast and the views make for a unique b&b. We loved our stay, even if we did not get the best of weather. If you are thinking of going to Guernsey, we recommend Seabreeze.

Wim, Wageningen

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seabreeze. Maggie and Francis are really warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Views from the B&B are superb as is all the surrounding countryside.

Seabreeze is just delightful. Our room was very comfortable & the location is beyond spectacular. The views are just wonderful and it is so, so peaceful. Our hosts were lovely - a warmer welcome we couldn't have wished for, thanks!

Wow what an incredible place - location, location and the fabulous Maggie's breakfasts. This was our third visit to Seabreeze and clearly the secret's out that this is the best place to stay on the island.Perched on top of a cliff with unencumbered views over to Jersey you too can enjoy the craggy country side that is so reminiscent of 'Poldark'. Bravo Maggie and Francis thank you for a wonderful weekend we can't wait to return.

My boyfriend and I just spent 4 glorious days at Seabreeze. Maggie and Francis were wonderful hosts (Francis even collected us from the airport) We had the double room with En Suite which was gorgeous and really well done. (I don't think the photos really do it justice). Sea views to die for! Although we aren't normally big walkers we must have walked over 15 miles in a few days. So many great routes all peppered with restaurants/pubs. Would definitely go again and recommend to others who want a relaxed and gastronomic weekend.

Maggie and Francis are stars! Their cozy and welcoming house perched on the highest cliff in guernsey has got to have the best view on the island. Thoughtfully decorated bedrooms and a gargantuan breakfast served with amusing conversation makes this an extra special place .

We spent two fantastic nights at Seabreeze. Maggie and Francis were incredibly warm and welcoming and really went that extra mile to make us feel at home in their wonderful B&B. The breakfasts were lovely and the property is ideally positioned for those wishing to explore the island's beautiful and peaceful south coast.

Seabreeze exceeded our expectations. The view is absolutely stunning and is matched by Maggie and Francis's very warm hospitality. Great breakfast. Comfy beds and a nice little shower room. I cannot wait to go back.

In 24 hours I fell in to the Seabreeze rhythm of life. A clifftop walk before a leisurely breakfast, bird spotting and learning from owners Maggie & Francis some interesting local history and cafes, restaurants and other spots worth a visit during my stay. Very clean and comfortable. Magnificent views.

This is one of the most spectacular coastal positions of any b+b's, not only in the Channel Islands but, in Europe. The scenery is unrivalled with its proximity to the sea and uninterrupted views to Herm, Sark and Jersey. Add to that the hospitality and friendliness of the hosts, Maggie and Francis and you have the recipe for success for a restful, rewarding stay. If you need to walk off the breakfast it is out of the gate and across the lane to the coastal path.

My sister and I stayed 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. We were made welcome from the first moment. Our room was clean, comfortable, and lovely, and the bathroom, with tub and separate shower, was a treat. The location cannot be beat. A substantial breakfast prepared us for a day of cliff-hiking, with stunning views in every direction. Maggie and Francis are great hosts -- helpful, kind, and very engaging. Their warmth, good humor, and charm really make this so much more than a clean, comfortable room and great bath. We feel we have made new friends.

If you come to guernsey stay here. As the saying goes 'its everything it says on the tin' we came for my mothers surprise 80th. Maggie and Francis went the extra mile in ensuring her special trip was very memorable.

Local points of interest from Maggie Talbot-Cull

  • When you step outside of the gate, you are in a nature lover's and birdwatcher's paradise. Look out for cormorants, kestrels and the occasional puffin . You don't need to leave the garden to see all this lounge on one of the chairs to enjoy nature.
  • Visit one of Guernsey's 27 beaches two super ones below Seabreeze ! Petit port at low tide is heaven plus other heltered southern coves. We are just a 15 minute cliff walk away from various tranquil coves.
  • Guernsey is a museum from the Neolithic period till the Second World War. Look out for German fortifications, across the island, including two just a 5 minute walk away.
  • Guernsey is renowned for the most spectatular cliff walks, Seabreeze is the best location to enjoy these with 28.5 miles of spectacular cliff paths starting at our garden gate ! , the clean sandy bays and rural lanes.walking is really fantastic here.
  • There is a wide variety of activities in Guernsey - From cycling to fishing cycling coasteering, or surfing to kayaking, there is something for everyone you really want to be outside in the clean clear sea air
  • Step back in time and a must visit for a day to our neighbouring islands, Herm, Sark, Alderney and Jersey. Each is unique and beautiful.Maggie will arrange this for you just ask.
